Bioshock: Infinite HYPE THREAD (56k) 9.0 @ GS! (96 @ MC)

GOTY!

I hate to be that person, but I think it should have gotten a 9.5. Kevin barely criticized it and said that the worst thing was minor quirks. If that can't transcend a 9.0, then nothing will. 

17/36 reviews on Metacritic are 100s. Wow.

Doesn't matter if MY PC can run it or not (It can flawlessly BTW) the fact still stands the PC version is better as a product or at least has the potential to be better.

I just want to say--again--something I have said many, many times before: Dispel the notion that a game starts at a 10, and gets points "docked" from it. That would be a really silly way to review a game.

Game reviews aren't mathematical logarithms. They are the result of an experience that makes an impression on the mental and emotional superhighway of the game reviewer. This.  The console version is noted to have major frame rate dips and very muddy gfx.

Only 9.0? But the metacritic rating is 95. Gamespot is clearly biased and wants this game to fail.

Well it's very prevelant in the game. We get the same treatment as the blacks, so yeah it's good to see it be accurate. Iwas just surprised to see it :P

playing it now, i have to say i love that Rollercoaster function of moving around the city, so much fun, and Elizabeth is one of the most amazing characters i've ever seen in a game, she interacts with you and pretty much everything you do in the city, she's pretty entertaining

Keep in mind that Bioshock 2 wasn't made by Ken Levine/Irrational Games. It was a cash in sequel that 2K gave to their inhouse studios, 2K Marin and 2K Australia. Irrational made the first one, and has been working on Infinite since before BS2 released.
