Sony has nothing to do with designing the boxarts for 3rd party games.

The banner is standard for PS3 games compatible with Move. For example:

I'm not sure they could've made anything more generic than that. The realistic design of the generic man clashes with the stylized design of the clothes and characters in game too.

Plus the box art is basically this:

You see, young finalstar, if a game was a woman then the boxart would be her "features". The disc itself would be her insides, her personality. We all know we get a girl for her personality, 'cause that's all that matters, but we want something nice on the outside too. All we're askin' for is some nice boxart, not your average run-of-the-mill copy-paste been-there-done-that ordeal. It's a deal breaker. Once you're about to be turned on by the disc, there's that fugly box art getting in the way of your erection. It's just not cool :-/.

I'm not going to wade through six pages of thread, but am I alone in thinking the box art is fine? I mean it's not as cool looking as Halo 4, or TTT2, but it's not bad. I'd give it 7/10. I think they're trying to make this protaganist a little more down to earth than Jack or Subject Delta, and thus more relatable. Part of this is showing his face outright. Also I think they didn't put Elizabeth on the cover to avoid further allegations of over-sexualizing their characters.

Horribly generic. It looks absolutely terrible. Hopefully the game will be better.

Pretty cool looking cover, the ps move logo is annoying as frack though.

Yeah, I agree with that.

I went in Tesco today and saw this boxart for an upcoming release. Seems like this is the EU version, definitely looks better.

I like it, through would have been nice to see Elizabeth on there too. Maybe they could have put this pose of Booker and Elizabeth with some changes to match the background.
