What does the word flop mean to you?

Biggest disappointment in 2012 was the crappy PS Store remake.

Biggest surprise is how the PS3 didn't overtake the 360 in sales with a price drop.

Biggest surprise: PS+ for Vita is nice.

Biggest disappointment: Dishonored. A game pegged to be the successor to the successor to Thief and Deus Ex, with talent like Harvey Smith on board too...the game is laughably inconsistent in every respect.

Biggest surprise: I started playing some indie games. Finished Braid and bought Mark of the Ninja which was pretty good. The quality of Black Mesa, some bugs notwithstanding, was excellent.

Surprise: Halo 4 not being a pile of crap like Halo Reach.

Suprise: How fun PSASBR is to play.

Dissappointment: The reaction to the ME3 ending. I didn't think it was all that bad, really.

Biggest Disappointment: Me purchasing Halo 4. Here I was thinking I was above that sh1t. I never thought I could disappoint myself so much, but I really let myself down there.

Biggest Surprise: Mass Effect 3s ending being that bad. I kind of knew it would be silly and dumb. I was expecting some Deus Ex Machina sh1t. But they got that crap out of the way early. With the Crucible being a main plot point. So it was like okay....and then there was a lot of great character stuff. And then that god awful child ruined everything. Man that crap sucked.

Dissapointment would be Diablo 3. Though to be fair Torchlight 2 wasn't exactly amazing either. I don't think I like the genre that much actually.

I would not say Torchlight 2 is better, it's just that is has way less hype behind it. Like waaaaay less. But honestly the Diablo 3 was more fun, even if it was a huge dissapointment and I didn't really like it.

I'll third this. Classic Silent Hill through and through.

i hop on this train too game def did not deserve the trashing it got apon release. I mean its not the greatest SH game ever but it did a good job of trying to recapture the feel of the original games and had a decent enough story. Only thing i didn't like were the actual monster designs pretty bland and non scary overall but that's only a small part of the SH exp.

Why did you expect GTAV this year? Rockstar are known for releasing 1 game per year and Max Payne came out in late spring. A year previous LA Noire was released in late spring and a year before that Red Dead Redemption. Didn't you notice the pattern?The_Gaming_Baby

Disappoinment: The fact that so few decent games came out. A number of good movies, but not many games.
