Beyond: Two Souls is a Masterpiece.....

......................for the PS3.It is 10times better than Heavy Rain.

I really enjoyed the story line of this game more than any game I can remember in recent history. I cried at a few of the cut scenes.

Awesome graphics, beautiful gameplay,excellent characters,great history you can felt joy, suffer and felt scary with the protagonist,good work for Quantic dream.It is a game that you must not miss.I hope we will see Beyond: Two Souls 2 on PS4.If you have see the ending it shows clearly that it will be a sequel.

I've never had a video game make me cry . I recently just finished Heavy Rain. It was cool. Got the perfect ending. But didn't feel a damn thing about any of the characters.

Yea the game is one of the best looking game this or last gen. It also felt like a better version of heavyrain but the problem was that while in heartening there was a sense of urgency with the kid, in beyond you are not pushed by that since you are just experiencing jodies life. It also had major flaws that prevents it from being great.

I only played like 4 hours of it, and i have forgotten that I own that the game, cuz I havent touched it since the day it came out.

I agree,and it has a pretty strong score of 8,3 on imdb,that´s pretty impressive,only 74 movies have score higher than Beyond on the imdb top 250.

It's really not,it's written by David Cage which means it's FULL of cliches, inconsistencies and pretentious writing

I would not say it is a masterpiece. However, it most definitely an awesome game. Of course Lems will argue against that as all they have is shooting games.

Obviously this game so far outscored all Xbox 360 and Xbox One exclusives so far too.

I personally stopped playing till the desert levels, the game was just really boring and it wasn't improving at all the further you play. Heavy Rain is still the best

I kind of hate of cows hype this sort of games just for the graphics while they ignore a true Masterpiece like The Puppeteer which it is one of the best PS3 games this year.

I enjoyed the game alot despite all the criticisms. It was one of my favorite games on the PS3.

Heavy Rain had some plot holes and poor writing, but the overall story was interesting and your choices actually had pretty significant impacts on how a scene played out (a bit like Telltale's games). I really enjoyed the game despite its faults.

Beyond has even worse writing, and the plot is so nonsensical that there isn't enough structure for plot holes to even happen. It had some good voice acting and nice visuals, but it failed utterly on both a gameplay and narrative level. Worst game I've played this year.

Ignore the hype then, Beyond is an Interactive Fiction type of game, and thats all you need to know.

Heavy Rain plot was just as terrible as Beyond's. And obviously you value choose your own adventure type games more, Beyond not including that feature doesn't make it a worse game, its not a requirement for the genre its in, its like ragging on COD for not having puzzles

Personally i have nothing against Beyond Two Souls, is just not my type of game, but when TC ends this thread with...oh, and the grapics are better than anything on X1...that just makes me shake my head.

well that was one of the few elements that gave HR merit as a game. Take that away and what are you left with.

I thought it was a dud. I loved Heavy Rain, but Beyond:Two Souls choices, consequences, and player input was horrible. You can put down the controller and it doesnt matter if you fail all the qte's.

To be honest, neither of them are games. And they most certainly are not movies or even like movies. Infact games just don't provide a proper enviroment for a story to be good. As for which one is better, thats gona be hard to determine since they both headed in different directions, Heavy Rain put emphasis on choice but Beyond is a damn good linear story, its also alilttle more interactive, but I think they put themselves in a corner when in jodies more quick timy interactive sections, the stealth was pretty damn good........you know, for a game of its type.

Indeed, they need to work on that. Its a real conundrum hey, how do you come with consequences in an action sequence if you only have a single character to work with ?
