Beyond Two Soul sells ONE MILLION wordwide

Pretty pathetic. DayZ, an uber niche survival game, and is about to hit 1 million and it's still over a year away from release. I guess this is a testament to story-driven games that are poorly written and their selling power.

I wasn't aware Quantum Break was a QTE fest consisting almost entirely of QTEs, that can be completed from start to finish with only a smart phone.

The amount of hate in here is impeccable, let's all argue about what is a game and what's not a game until we come to the agreement that we're just starting at a screen pressing buttons then we'll move on into another argument which would be the game that has the most button presses? in which case a typing game will then take the cake on variation and be the ultimate game at staring at a screen pressing buttons.

No you just watch real movies in between missions.

Also DayZ is testament that people will buy anything about a zombie apocalypse.

Oh, so its a regular game with cutscenes and not 9 hours of doing almost nothing like Beyond? Sounds awesome.

I picked up a copy on the Black Friday online deals, haven't got around to playing it yet.

An entire TV episode with real actors is not a cutscene.

An awful game had awful sales. Of course, cows will come up with BUT BUT...1 Million.

The game had costed 30M to develop.

1M * 50 bucks = 50M

If we deduce marketing, manufactring and publishing costs, only some 30M left for net profit.

So basically, in six months after launch, they barely managed to cover their devekopment costs, that is, it's a sales flop.

In comparison, Starbound had probably costed 1M to develop, and it sold 1M in one month, 20 bucks a copy

As a result, 19M of income. This is why PC Gaming is growing so fast.

congrats to QD, those sales are great. i'm glad that a niche game like this can sell on the PS platform, it means more will come in the future.

i enjoyed beyond, it wasn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but i definitely had a fun time with it. i heard david cage is getting some writers for the next project on the ps4, this is good.

That was genuinely entertaining and gave me a laugh, thanks for that. Honestly, I like games like Beyond Two Souls and Heavy Rain. If they made the same type of game in a zombie scenario...it probably would sell a lot more.

I know how it feels to have to no games but only press 'X' to win mediocre movies. But then again, you drones aren't intelligent enough to play games. Your products are really built around your below zero intelligence levels.

I'm not overly surprised. It seems like a decent game. I kinda enjoyed Heavy Rain, for what it was... This seems a little different.

ATLEAST it is a game. It's not affecting the Gaming Industry negatively,like those bloody DLC/Expansion packs/TLOU Mappack garbage.

Heavy Rain has sold 3 million copies. It was very well received.

Want to play... Do not want to buy... Not sure what the budget was for this game and whether it's making someone rich, but I think selling a million of anything is pretty cool.
