For a game of that budget 1M in 3 months isn´t that impressive when you have stuff like Starbound and DayZ on that mark in a month or less.

Good news. I've finished 18 of 25 chapters and it's been a pretty amazing experience. It's exciting to think of what they'll be able to do with the PS4.

The game didn't have a massive budget. I think the total cost(including marketing) was around $27 million. It will profitable.

Great news. Can't wait for his next game, which is sure to induce a lot of similar levels of butthurt.

It is the next game up for me after I finish ACIV. I like movie games though...and apparently a lot of other gamers do too.

There are also more worthwhile games on the PS3. Though, I found the game to be pretty mediocre.

A niche game compared to the sports game. A game like Beyond Two Souls wouldn't sell 500K lifetime on any Xbox Console. Microsoft wouldn't even take Heavy Rain which has sold 3 million lifetime. Look how hard Alan Wake flopped. Xbox gamers just play same type of games repeatedly.

Beyond Two Souls wouldn't sell 100K on any Xbox console. Different demographics for the two user bases.

You have no proof it wouldn't sell more. So I will take that for what it is. A guess pulled from thin air.

We saw how a game that tries something different on Xbox is received. Alan Wake flopped hard. Guarantee it sells at least 3 million on PS3. Thankfully I was able to get on Steam after Remedy tried to salvage it.

Mine too. It's still sitting in the package I got in the mail.

Yes Beyond Two Souls could sell over a million on the XBox 360. If a games like Viva Pinata 1 & 2 and Kinectimals can sell over a million copies, Beyond: Two Souls will be a breeze.

This game could have sold more if the story and writing weren't so poor. For a story that jumps around time constaintly, it sure is pretty bad at keeping you emotionally invested.

most of it is boring anyway.. Great story but boring gameplay. Heavyrain is way much better. this is the only PS3 exclusive i didn't enjoy in 2013.

Not an exclusive and not a $60 game either so I don't see your point. Also The Walking Dead is zombie game which all the rage right now. Perfect for Xbox casuals.

You were arguing that Beyond wouldn't find success on 360 because differences in its demographic (360 v. ps3). TWD's success on 360 paints a different picture.... Exclusivity has nothing to do with it. 360 users have supported similar games.

The Walking Dead is nothing like Beyond Two Souls other than both being story driven. Microsoft would never fund an artsy game like this.

The games are not similar other than both being story driven. That is where the similarities end. Would Microsoft finance game with premise like like Beyond or Heavy Rain. We already know the answer is no because they had the chance and declined.

Not an exclusive so I don't see your point.

You were arguing that Beyond wouldn't find success on 360 because differences in its demographic (360 v. ps3). TWD's success on 360 paints a different picture.... Exclusivity has nothing to do with it. 360 users have supported similar games.

The games are not similar other than both being story driven. That is where the similarities end. Would Microsoft finance game with premise like like Beyond or Heavy Rain. We already know the answer is no because they had the chance and declined.

You're right, they aren't similar. TWD is a great adventure game with a great story while Beyond is a shitty adventure game with a stupid story.

Congrats to Quantic Dream. Another hit PlayStation exclusive. Sony delivering again on dat variety.

So did Forza 5 with only 3 million units sold, compared to 80+ million PS3 sold.

There are also more worthwhile games on the PS3. Though, I found the game to be pretty mediocre.

Beyond Two Souls wouldn't sell 100K on any Xbox console. Different demographics for the two user bases.

Ever heard of TWD?

Not an exclusive so I don't see your point.

Are you blind?

The Walking Dead is nothing like Beyond Two Souls other than both being story driven. Microsoft would never fund an artsy game like this.

proof?

Microsoft declined Heavy Rain because of the subject matter. Fact.

TWD is the most popular series on TV, of course It'll sell. Gtfo of here with that, it's not a new IP like beyond is. Sony takes more risks than MS, period! Well deserved sales for an amazing game. Let's see how well Quantum Break sells. It's no secret Xbox gamers don't care for deeply story driven games.

Yet over a million people bought it in less than 3 months. I love TWD by Telltale, but I would like to see how many copies they sell at $60 a pop for what it offers. Not many. Totally different ballpark.

Pretty much, but I still found heavy rain and beyond enjoyable. All three games, 4 if I include TellTales's TWAU, offer very similar experiences.

Uhhh except Microsoft wanted to fund an artsy game, they just didn't like the subject matter of Hard Rain since it involved kidnapping kids

"We had a very long talk and they loved Fahrenheit, and they really wanted to do something with us." MS did want to fund a David Cage artsy game, just not Heavy Rain

The gameplay is very similar. You wander around investigating different objects which triggers a little canned action, and talk to different characters, eventually leading to moving the story forward. There's the action sequences where you have to respond to visual prompts. Plus the choices made for different comments or approaches to other characters, some of them changing the story slightly, drastically, or just causing different reactions from them.

You're right that MS declined Heavy Rain because of the kidnapping subject matter, but that doesn't mean that it couldn't have sold well on the Xbox 360, like The Walking Dead.
