Between 1 to 10, how hardcore of a gamer are you?

I would say I'm an 8. I have all current platforms and play most of the major releases that come out. I'm currently playing Witcher 3 on PC which is mighty good and Mortal Kombat X which is also great. Before that I played Bayonetta 2 and Bloodborne. The reason why I don't consider myself completely hardcore is because I sold most of my legacy systems, and I also don't have a lot of memorabilia, but I'm starting to collect. What about you, SW? What level are you?

I have been a gamer for about 28 years. I still have a few of my old systems and probably hover at above 200 games. I have a PS4 and play when I can. The problem is that I went from being a kid with lots of time and very little money to being an adult with plenty of money but very little time. I'm lucky to play 2 hours at a time if I get to play at all. Sad but true.

I have beaten all the Souls games and Bloodborne with minimal death but I suck when it comes to online shooters.

My lack of enthusiasm for most of the stuff that comes out these days is just causing my interest to slip away.

I can't play with a mouse and keyboard anymore, because it's too much strain on my wrist (carpal tunnel) because of playing pretty much every 3d shooter since 1991.

I can't even play with normal controllers anymore either since the springs in the trigger give to much strain on my fingers (tendinitis) so i use a custom control (horipad one) that has digital triggers.

I had in my life dozens of computers and a lot of them are x86 pc's but i also had the atari 2600, commodore 64, the amiga 1000, snes, genesis (sega megadrive), amiga cd32, xbox 360 and xbox one.

Can't wait for VR since current control schemes aren't very tendon and nerve friendly... at least imo. Hower in the future when my tendons are completely worn out (which is still quite some time, when i don't game for a couple of days things tend to clear up) then I'm planning to replace the tendons with robotic ones,.

It's still early tech but by the time i need it they will have pretty much perfected it, i hope.

So I don't know what number i should give myself but 8 hours of gaming daily is my average, allthough i tend to be a bit more busy with fifa ultimate team strategy (making teams) than actually gaming the last couple of years since my hands just can't take anymore non stop gaming.

So I don't know, I guess i am a 10 or at least I was a 10.

Oh, yeah i pretty much dominated unreal back in teh nineties and I do play everything besides kiddy nintendo games. and playstation exclusives .

I'm losing more and more interest in gaming. I've been focusing on other things these past years. I talk more about games than I actually play. It's probably like 5 or 6 right now.

It's not like I forced myself to stop playing because of responsabilities. It just kinda happened. :/

Probably a 6 or 7? I play everyday all sort of genres on every platform but I am no professional gamer, I would think that would qualify for a 10

10 in spirit....but due to life commitments, i think casuals spend more time playing mobile games than I do working on my steam library which is still slowly and painfully increasing.

I'm in a similar position (have and Xbox One, Wii u and PC) so would have to score the same really.

I play CS:GO in windowed mode at 1280x720 on one side of my monitor and on the other side I watch GiantBombs Unprofessional fridays... While drinking and still manage to be in the top 3 of the scoreboard.

I am too much of a game explorer. I always try to be a completionist and play on the hardest difficulty available, but I wouldn't commit myself to a single game like CS:GO or DOTA.

And mine I can't live without games I grew up playing videogames and I like them more than movies.

Im mostly a singleplayer gamer but think that, in general, games are too easy these days, even on hard modes. On the other hand, i can't get into some unnecessary complex games, like MMOs, and some MP games are too fast paced for my taste.

I'm currently playing Ori and the Blind Forest on PC (it's amazing btw) and the Unreal Tournament demo on PC as well.

Looking forward mainly to Halo 5, Forza 6, Star Citizen, and the retail version of Unreal Tournament.
