Between 1 and 5, how hyped are you for Death Stranding?

Which one is equivalent to "mild, morbid curiosity?"

Number 5 for me. However I don’t have a PS4 yet so it may be awhile before I can play it. Would like to get one by the end of this year.

I discerned it as 2, because that's where I am.

Metal Gear Solid was never about fun factor. It was only up until MGS5 that it even became enjoyable. There's no reason to expect that outta Death Stranding. Especially since now, Kojima has no filter. So you can bet he's gonna shower it with lengthy cutscenes and dialogue.

@nepu7supastar7: It is the other way around for me MGS5 is where the series got boring. I preferred the lengthy immersive cutscenes and amazing character development.

I pick super hyped. I mean the reviews is out weeks before release so plenty of time to change my mind.

2. I'm skipping Death Stranding and double dipping on RDR2 for PC.

Say what you want about it, Kojima's at least doing something different from other devs. I'm pretty hyped. 4-5 range.

2. I'm not rooting against it. I just don't think it looks very good and I'm not optimistic. But if it turns out great - hey, that's their job. Win me over devs!

3. I'm curious, and will probably play it based on reviews, but the game looks odd. Weaponized peeing? What? The review embargo being lifted a week early gives me hope that it might exceed expectations.

4. I think there's a lot about the game we haven't seen, and he didn't want to show. People are going to be surprised. Maybe.

I voted 2. I mean I saw two trailers for this game; one was quite intriguing and the other was meh so I'm waiting on reviews to see how this one plays out and maybe see what ACG has to say about the game; I enjoy his video reviews. Than again, I don't know if I should just wait to play any future exclusives on the Playstation 5. I mean if backwards compatible is coming then rather wait a bit to get the best experience.

2. only Kojima game ive played was MGSV and it did not impress me.

everything i've seen so far gameplay wise makes it seem pretty boring.

but I do like the general weirdness and vibe of it... just not very hopefull it'll amount to much

I feel like everyone is more curious than anything else.

Every Kojima game brings the same crowds. Critics who drink the bath water, critics who will hate the game to spite the bath drinkers, the hipster gamers... who knows with Death Stranding.

2. I haven't seen anything that gets me hyped and I don't give a fuk about Kojima. I think this game is going to flop. I don't see the mass appeal.

I wish there was a 0, with the amount of games comming out this one is at the very bottom, everything ive seen of it looks horrible, litteraly a walking simulator with hollywood voice overs HARD PASS, I'm honestly sick of hearing about it.

It's like someone took everything I hate about modern day gaming and put it into a shitball and kojima fanboys keeps throwing it in my face.

Same. I'm expecting a boring slog through the mundane world of baby care, but perhaps there's more to this than meets the eye. I'll give a damn if I see something of worth from it.

This game will have a lot riding on reviews. While the premise is intriguing, what they have shown of the game is not enough to warrant a purchase right away. People will need confirmation from reviewers if it is actually worth getting.

Looks shit gameplay wise

Movie game parts look interesting ,but not enough for me to pay £45

2.5 gameplay looked kind of dull but the story could be interesting not sure £50 worth.

First of all, I'm not a fan of Kojima. Second of all, I've seen very little of DS, and what I've seen looked incredibly boring. I still don't know what you do in the game. There's nothing there to make me excited. As it looks now, if the story is good, it's just sad that it was wasted on a boring videogame.

Maybe a 4. The only 5 I can think of right now is The Last of Us Part II

If it's a tad divisive with citics and gamers like The Last Guardian and Detroit Become Human , I'm completely fine with that. Those kinds of experiences that stick with you. I don't need or want every AA-AAA game to have a lot of action and killing , there are enough of those to play every year. I hope that it is interesting , memorable , and entertaining for what it is rather than what it isn't.

I'll try and keep an open mind about the themes he's going for and the genre/playstyle and how those work together. I'm not sure how much I'm going to like it or not like it , but it looks fascinating enough to try.

As of now I would say my hype level is number 2.

Absolutely none of the promos and gameplay demonstrations have peaked my interest as much as they have clarified Kojima's pretentious ways. At this point I am convinced Kojima can film himself taking a shit and slap "A Kojima Production" on it and all the fanboys will go crazy over their perception of high-mighty art.

I'm giving Death Stranding a hype level of 2 instead of 1 because - it could end up being good? - but I'll wait and see when the reviews come out.

As a luggage simulator it is a 5.

As a game I want to play it is a 1.
