Better to pickup a PS5 first before X-Series X if you own a lot of PS4 games and like Demon Souls?

It looks like PS5 is the one you should definitely get first. I was huge PS4 owner, loved the system, picked up a ton of games for it after I switched from XB1 due to the whole 1080p vs 720p thing.

I can replay some of my old games on it which are getting fat upgrades.

Plus I want to pickup exclusives like Demon Souls Remake and Spiderman MM and GodFall whereas Xbox X-Series X has nothing to get day one.

It just makes sense to start out with the PS5. If xbox wants to get its head out of its ass and start making games I'll gladly pick one down the line when that happens. But right now I gotta say no to it. They got 23 studios but no games day one and it looks mighty dry this year.

I thought Sony fans are all about keeping old hardware to play their games on. Not getting a PS5 for BC would be like tradition.

no need for a ps5 till around 2022 when the delayed Horizon and god of war release...but they will BOTH be held back and x-gen with ps4 pro,in the meantime the serious x is winning every console game comparison

I’m getting the Xbox Series X first myself. I prefer the Xbox platform, there’s a number of third party games that I really want to play on it, and I’m very hyped for Gears Tactics. Plus there’s quite a few games from previous Xbox generations that I’m really looking forward to seeing how they run on the XSX.

Thing is, you'll be paying 70 bucks for each of those first party games from Sony, while all the 23 ms studio's games will be included in the 35 buck all access cost.

I’m getting a PS5 for Spider-Man MM, the new Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War. Once again I couldn’t careless about bc because I’m getting less time playing games due to my daughter has online classes. I have to see what Xsx first party has to offer first before I buy one.

Nah I disagree. I'm entering this gen with Series X- Xbox All Access. It's only $35 a month for 2 years. For those 2 years I'll have the strongest console that is backwards compatible with everything from Xbox One and that machine's OG Xbox and 360 library. It's already been proven the games play amazingly on Series X. And Game Pass will get me access to a ton of games.

Do the math- the total cost Xbox All Access for Series X is a little cheaper than buying a PS5 (with the disc drive), 2 years of PS+, and 3 games. Plus $35 a month is a lot more attractive to me than dumping $600+ at once.

If you want the best graphics, next Gen features like quick resume, etc...Xbox X is not only cheaper, but it's the best choice.

But you never played any games on your PS4, why do you think that will change on the ps5??

My interest level in the PS5 is exactly ZERO. I am a PS4 Pro owner and have no interest in PS5. Sorry TC.
