Anyone remember The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!

Cause that's what will happen if you combine realistic graphics with Mario. Do you really want to do that to yourselfs? Do you?

nobody wants that. only really dumb people. They can improve lighting, physics, textures, anti aliassing, shadows, shaders, etc... but the style must remain the same.

There is a limit though. Fortunately they will be able to improve on other areas, such as enemy intelligence.
