LOL Nintendo couldn't even consider making an RPG without sticking Mario in it. Pity really as Xenoblade was terrific. They could have created a brand new series instead of revisiting the mushroom kingdom once again.

What are you talking about? Are you saying Nintendo doesn't have other RPGs besides these and Xenoblade? Or did you think they announced a new Mario RPG? Or am I wrong?

@93BlackHawk93: I just think it's hilarious that a Mario RPG series ever had to exist. They are stuck on Mario. I knew you'd mention Xenoblade. I enjoyed it. Why could this series not have been something ?else? Why do they turn to mario for RPGs, and football games, and tennis, and golf, and puzzlers, and party games, and racing games, and fighting games etc etc etc?

One simple reason: Mario is bigger than Mickey Mouse. And if you played some of these games they actually fit the Mario universe well.

@93BlackHawk93: Mario is one of the reasons people aren't taking Nintendo seriously any more. The Mario universe is something Nintendo relies on too often.

If it sells, they'll keep making more. It's not that I like Ninty to keep spawning all those spin-offs (except for RPGs and Kart).

Can you tell me what are the Mario fighting games?

SSB are crossover fighting games. "Super" is a common term and "Bros." just represents Nintendo's main mascot and basically the other characters too.

The first two Paper Mario games are amazing, as are the M and L games. I have yet to beat SMRPG (might do that this summer) and I did not enjoy Super Paper Mario very much. It would have been a million times better if it was like TTYD or the original.

I loved Super Paper Mario's story (dat Dimentio). At least it's not worse than Sticker Star. :P

I personally loved Partners in Time. I got a lot of laughs from that game and I loved the combos you could pull off.

Sadly I've never played any of the Paper Marios which is sad considering I've really enjoyed the handheld Mario RPGs.

Personally I'd say

SMRPG > SuperStar Saga > Partners in Time > Bowsers Inside Story

Haven't played any of the others Crying or Very sad

I'm playing Mario and Luigi: Dream Team right now, other than its annoying explain everything with text beginning the game gets pretty fun later on. I tried to like Paper Mario, until the hamster wheel, then I gave up on it and haven't touched it again; still have it though and thinking of giving it another whirl.

TTYD by far. I still love the original paper mario though. Please make up for super paper mario and sticker star Nintendo..

SMRPG is dated and bland, and is more like FF than Mario. Damn people eat that game up though

@93BlackHawk93: To me, the biggest issue with the story is "similar" it is to Stephen King's Dark Tower series. I'm not saying the writer intentionally copied everything about the book series, but there are A LOT of similarities that can't be just pure coincidence.

Super Mario RPG. I love the music and style the most, and the gameplay is fun.
