Theres a lot of rip offs in DLC nowadays (Talking bout you activision), but theres always some worthwhile purchases that greatly enhance the original experience. My pick has got to be the two GTA 4 Expansions, The Lost and the Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony. Rockstar is pretty good about DLC, but with these two they hit it out of the park. (Equal to 9.99 can be included too)

I'll say GTA4 and Fallout 3 DLC. New Vegas DLC were mostly love them or hate them.

Yeah, GTA IV really set the bar for DLC. Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is incredible, assuming you were alive in the 80s.

I would say the gt4 dlc or rdr but I bought it on a disc so I will go with blood dragon especially since I don't have far cry 3. This is what dlc should be something that is not cut from the game but feels like it belongs. Or in blood dragons case, just straight up awesome.

Lemme see...

GTA4 DLC.

FO3 DLC, FONV DLC, SKyrim DLC; Borderlands DLC, Borderlands 2 DLC. should FC3 Blood dragon count? it is stand alone afterall.

Wiykd be the ones I can remember. Most dlc were not worth it.

GTA IV DLC was actually better than the main game which is pretty unique. Artorias DLC for Dark Souls was pretty good, not a huge amount of content but really well executed.

As in like addon content, not downloadable standalone title? If So, yeah, Ballad of Gay Tony, hands down. Pretty much everything else didn't provide as much content or if it did was no where near as polished and didn't have the same level of presentation and production values

I wasn't alive in that era but I'm a sucker for 80s and early 90s action movies and video games and the best thing is, you play as a terminator, also whenever Spider says "MUDAFUGGA" at the end of his sentences is pretty funny, just like in ol' good action movies. One of the best DLCs right there, next to GTOX and the Fallout 3/NV DLCs.

  • InFamous 2: Festival of Blood

I think spin-off stand alone DLCs are awesome.

I'm probably gonna catch a lot of flak for this, but I actually really liked Resident Evil 5's DLC missions (Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape). They were only $5 each, and even though they were only about an hour long they were really fun to play through. They included co-op, leaderboards, and trophies/achievements. The one time I think Capcom actually did DLC right.

The Borderlands 2 season pass Far Cry: Dragon whatever it's called is getting good reviews and is only $14.99. I'll be getting it at some point. I very rarely buy dlc because it's usually a rip off.

Was Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker more than 10 bucks? Because it was awesome.

Dragon Age Origins: Awakening was also pretty good.

Even though they are stand alone expansions, Dawn of War II: Chaos Rising and Retribution are excellent add ons, as is Fall of the Samurai for Shogun 2.

  • Fallout 3 DLC
  • Shivering Isles
  • Dragonborn
  • BL The Secret Armory of General Knoxx
  • Deus Ex HR The Missing Link (my fav piece of DLC this gen, it's HR at its most perfect form)

I don't think I've but much DLC for over $10. BF3 Map Packs were pretty good. I also got GTA IV during a weekend sale at the beginning of April with the expansions but I havent played them yet.

Definitely the Grand Theft Auto IV DLC. Both are great deals and take around 15-20 hours for a good playthrough if you do a lot of side content, with some amazingly fun multiplayer stuff too.

Most of the Fallout 3 DLC was well done too, Broken Steel, The Pitt and Point Lookout in particular.

You're a PC master racer, shouldn't you know that a console exclusive like RDR is trash? No but seriously, it's not trash, but it's a boring game that only has technical aspects going for it.

Artorias Of The Abyss is probably my favorite this gen, most of the boss battle were really well done and provide more of a challenge then the sp boss.

Blood Dragon isn't DLC,  it's totally standalone.

Missing Link DLC for Deus Ex and basically any Rockstar add-ons would be my favourites.
