Best FPS Shooter this year

I think its safe to say this goes to BF4 lol don't wanna talk about what went down today. And it is pretty sad when it had all those issues at launch

It definately was not Bioshock Infinte. That much is clear to me, I nominate Crysis 3

I would say BF4, but it has one of the worst SP ever in a FPS... I know BF is only about the MP, but the devs included a SP. And if they include one I expect it to be decent, like the ones in Bad company. I've not played many FPS this year, but the ones I've played have been bad... Ghost,Crysis3. Metro was alright I guess, but I never finished it.

BioShock Infinite, no contest

Bioshock Infinite for singleplayer, Battlefield 4 for multiplayer

BF4 is great when it works, hopefully the upcoming PC update fixes things along with the R8 server update

oh, just a pet peeve, you don't have to say shooter after FPS because it stands for First Person Shooter

EDIT: Ohhhh yeah I played Metro LL. Almost have the plat, that is a pretty awesome game.

Metro: Last Light, hands down, even if stealth and AI assorted with it was way too easy. Everything else was just prime, though. BioShock Infinite is the disappointment of the generation.

Those also happen to be my two favourite games of the year so far.

seconded. By far the best fps i played since Stalker Cop. I actually liked how decent the stealth mechanics worked though. As for A.I. i agree it was a bit of a disappointment even on ranger difficulty but that was ino the only major flaw

BF4, even with how messy the launch has been, it's still A HEAP of fun!! Truly a next-gen shooter.

Metro Last Light definitely. Level of immersion is through the roof. And on a much smaller budget than other AAA games to boot.

Far Cry 3 was the last good FPS game I played. I'm still addicted to it up to now.

you gotta have a single player and multiplayer category for FPS.

I'd have to agree with Bioshock Infinite. It was beautifully created and I enjoyed it enough to play through it twice which is EXTREMELY rare for me.

Shadow Warrior

All the people nominating Metro: LL are making me want to buy it, the problem is people also talked up Metro: 2033, which was utter trash in my opinion.

I haven't really played a good FPS is years, so I'm going to pass on this one.

if you didnt like Metro 2033 most likely you wont like Metro LL. Its a shame though since both imo are great games

It's too narratively driven for me to really enjoy it. This wouldn't really be an issue if it was an interesting narrative with a good story and characters, but it doesn't have that, and the way it's implemented clashes with the gameplay. They basically sacrificed the gameplay in an attempt to create a cinematic experience.

The enemies are boring too, especially the mutants which are just dumb bullet sponges - there's no tactic other than "point your gun at them and hold down the trigger".

I just bought BF4 for PS4 so hopefully that. If its too much like BF3 than probably Infinite.

I dunno. Bioshock Infinite was good for a playthrough, but I dunno how much staying power it's got. Maybe I'll play through it again sometime. The new Shadow Warrior seems good, but I haven't played it. BF4 doesn't interest me.

I really should get Metro: Last Light, though. Just need to get through 2033 first.
