Just played the Shadow Broker DLC as I begin wrapping up Me2 legendary. It's my favorite dlc in gaming.

Me2 introduced new characters brilliantly, but it also left me longing for more interaction with the old characters like Rex and Liara... Liara T'soni specifically is one of the best characters in all of gaming to me.

Shadow Broker contained the most satisfying experience of any dlc I ever played. It brought liara back in so many meaningful ways... From the shadow broker storyline, which I will not spoil, to the nagging questions about your relationship (if you went that way) and just that feeling when the me1 music plays like you are reminiscing on the previous game.

The gameplay, combat and eventual climax were all well paced and thoughtfully unveiled. It wasn't unnecessarily long, nor was it lacking in impact to the main story, side stories and characters.

Me2 - Shadow Broker DLC.... my favorite add on in gaming.

Got a good selection? Let's hear it!

BB`s The Old Hunters dlc. Good luck finding more quality in a single dlc.

As of late, my fav dlc has been the first Doom Eternal DLC. The 2nd dlc was a boring baby mode compared to it.

@hardwenzen:

I agree, The Old Hunters for Bloodborne is amazing. So much hours of content in that dlc. I also liked the Ringed City dlc for Dark Souls 3 as well.

Oh yes, Lair of the Shadow Broker is brilliant. I very much look forward to playing it again when I get LE.

Though to be honest, I'm kind of a bit more partial to Citadel for ME3, but that maybe due to it being distilled concentrated fanservice.

Borderlands 2 is normally just a mindless looter-shooter, but Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep was surprisingly clever and heartfelt. The highest point of the entire franchise, I think.

Oblivion was generally meh without mods, but man, Shivering Isles was actually a great piece of content. Probably the best DLC BGS have ever made.

Forza Horizon 3 Hot Wheels. The racing game I never knew I always wanted, simcade physics with arcade tracks. Fucking brilliant. Wish someone would make a full game like this.

Either The Old Hunters, Bloodborne, or Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, Borderlands 2.

THE OLD HUNTER DLC. Its simply the best DLC, ever. Its so good that your Bloodborne journey will never be truly complete unless you play expansion. Essential part of the game experience as it enhances the main plot in Bloodborne and you get to kill that idiot Lawrence.

Other than that... idk what else. I guess Witcher 3 Blood and Wine and GTA IV 2 expansion story was quite good too. Oh TLoU:Left Behind was fun.

DLC pretty much always feels like a waste of money to me. Less content than the good old expansions we got back in the day, but costs more, basically. A good way of milking gamers. So overall, I don't like DLC.

DOOM Eternal's two DLCs kinda sucked. First DLC I completed in one sitting, and it wasn't especially exciting. Fun? Yeah, sure, but I think I'd rather just replay the main game. DLC #2 was a bit more annoying than fun. Also short. Felt like a waste of money. Luckily, I didn't buy the DLCs when they were full price, that would've sucked. Overall, idSoftware did a poor job with those. You can tell they didn't care as much as they did with the main game. And adding even more puzzles to the combat.. Just.. no. Please go back to old ways of DOOM next time. Stop making it annoying.

Best DLC I can think of is probably Streets of Rage 4's Mr. X Nightmare. I really wanted SoR4 to have some more replayability, and that's exactly what I got. A lot more replayability. I believe it was 8 bucks? A bit expensive maybe, but awesome.

Blood and Wine, just because it has more content than a lot of the "AAA" games.

Morrowind, skyrim, and oblivion's expansion packs where great. I also liked witcher 3's expansions. I prefer extra content to follow the old PC template of massive expansion packs with tons of content rather than the smaller piece meal DLC that Microsoft started pushing in the 360 Era. The content for the small DLC packs can be good, but it's not really alot of bang for your buck.

don't really have a favourite but some of the standout ones

cod united offensive

dishonored knife of dunwall

oblivion knights of the nine (couldn't get into shivering isles, didn't like that sheogorath prince of madness fellow and his crazy garish world)

fallout 3 operation anchorage and point lookout

civ 5 brave new world

ballad of gay tony - thought this was the "sweet spot" for gta, after san andreas and gta iv were polar opposites on the tonal scale of daft to serious. bogt got the best balance of both and paved the way for the gta v formula. watching the evolution of the gta series used to be quite interesting, back in the days when r* used to make new gta games.

just started playing old hunter dlc in bloodborne. i missed a fair bit of content by always skipping the chalice dungeons in the base game. thought they were boring. hopefully this is a good substitute

Favorite DLC?

StarCraft Brood War. If that counts. Turned a good, but not great RTS, into arguably the best RTS of all time.

Dark Souls 2

Those three small expansions are some of the best content in the entire Souls franchise. Top-tier level design, cool themes and lore, challenging encounters.

great choices, I remember those Morrowind expansions being incredible in particular.

I was going to go with Witcher 3 DLC but I might have to change my answer to those Morrowind ones

Xenoblade 2 Golden Country is how DLC should be done. It's jam packed with extra content 20-40 hours and then you also have Future Connected from the remaster from the original Xenoblade that was also amazing as well.

The Shadow Broker DLC was the best ME DLC I've played and it played really well into ME3. Most of my favorite DLC comes from ME anyway so if I had to pick one more from the trilogy would be Leviathan.

Recently, Mr. X's Nightmare for SoR4. I think the DLC warrants a review update. Game should get a 10/10.
