God Tier: Crash, Knack 2, Sonic Mania

Mid Tier: Yooka laylee, Cuphead

Garbage: Super Mario Whatever

Thus far, Crash Bandicoot has been my favorite, but I have not played Mario Odyssey yet. Cuphead was also awesome, but I don't know if I would classify that as a platformer. Sonic Mania was another awesome platformer as well (why isn't it on this poll?).

what is the point of this? We all know the majority is going to be SMO. LOL I don't play platformers generally, I don't even consider cuphead a platformer really.

Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back was disappointing considering it was from the makers of Twisted Dreams.

Obviously Mario will win, this forum is overrun with Nintendo fanboys now.

Haven't played many new platformers this year, but Odyssey and Specter of Torment were both pretty great.

How can you miss out Sonic Mania? With the exception of Odyssey, Mania beats every other game on that list.

My vote goes to a Hat in Time and Cuphead, these games are just incredibly fun and charming.

I'm sure most will vote for Mario, but seriously what game can compare to that ?

It has been in development since 3D World released, and no other game in this list had the budget or resources behind it that Mario had.

There was never a contest. Should have done a "second best platformer of 2017" , that would have been tougher. Bought, but haven't yet played Cuphead, saving all my XBone games for Nov 7, and second place might be sewn up as well from what I've seen so far. When is next Ori?!?! Waiting for 2018 to not have to compete with Odyssey like the smart money lol.

Cuphead isnt a plaformer. Its a sidescroller 2D shooter. It's like saying Contra or Metal Slug are platformers...

saying this, you know the answer to this thread is obvious. Not like it had any serious competition though...
