And alot of that stuff they do is stuff any decent PC gamer should be keeping up with. Also, it's easier to just have more memory to store background tasks, and to shut down the ones that you really need to before you start gaming, though anyone with 4 GB of system memory should be fine unless you're video editing at the same time you're playing a game lol.

I'm skeptical. But I already know how to optimize my PC and have rarely found a program that does it successfully.Razer is a somewhat decent brand so I may take a look at it and try it out on a test PC.

I tried the other gamebooster and didn't notice any performance increases at all. If your PC is half decent then there's really no point in using it.

It's pretty useless in terms of optimisation, most background programs use up barely anything, I doubt there's going to be any increase. But I'll be interested to see if the video capture is any good, FRAPS is fine but it sure does destroy your frame rate. Driver updates are nice too if they work, I always update my GFX card but there's a bunch of other things I haven't update at all.bobbetybob

If you are ripping video in the background and don't understand why your games are lagging - this program might help. But I would say person like that is beyond saving...

Highly doubt it will work for high end user's any kind of game booster or that sort of stuff for me is directly pointed at players with low end pc's

WEll, that's actualy a good thing, we can see how many skill in gaming players have in game's they never even tried before

I'm highly skeptical. All these booster programs are always useless.

What a waste (at least for me). I've never really had trouble running games, and how exactly is closing some applications going to increase performance? This is like an ad from the past, like Windows 98 past, where you needed to close some big apps to get good games running a little smoother. Today though, it's not necessary.

It blows. The mouse cursor doesn't always stay still when the mouse is on black surfaces, which is ironically the color of a Razer mouse pad.

It isnt dangerous to use it? I mean, to shutdown every apps like firewalls or active anti virus while you're playing seems like a problem.

that stuff doesn't even use CPU, it just stays there sucking RAM and most PC gamers have like 8GB of Ram anyway so this is in no way a problem. TheGamebooster is useless.

wow, there are some really negative people in these comments ripping on razer and what not, no wonder why the pc gaming community is looked down on, everyone whines and complains about everything, i mean how can you honestly complain about something that is free? some of you just need to enjoy life and stop being negative and complaining soooooo much.

First off, Razer did not make GameBooster. It was made by IObit. The new GB is nothing more than a reskin with the Razer brand name.

Secondly, IObit has received a lot of negative press for stealing code from another company's product. This is why most PC users boycott things related to IObit.

Thirdly, any person with 4 GB RAM and above need not use this software. For those with really bad rigs, it *might* help but honestly, most of the things GB does, you can do yourself.
