Gittin gud at dance dance games, osu and beat saber sounds like the biggest waste of your life lmao.
Playing dance and rhythm games can help keep you fit while having fun. The skills trained playing beat saber actually translates to other games, hobbies and professional skills. Exact same thing I brought up with Ring Fit Adventure. There is a correlation and causation between fitness and IQ.
Getting good at a Souls games only gets you good at that souls game. They don't even transfer that well into other games in the series.
So while you are memorizing boss patterns in Dark Souls, something that wont translate into any other game. I am playing Beat Saber and Ring fit, extending my life expectancy, improving my physical performance, psychological well being and raising my IQ.
Trying to get fit while playing video games is being lazy. Stop being lazy.
They did stop being lazy though. Exercise is exercise, be it through a video game, sports or in a gym.
The average BMI for gamers is 28, That means your average gamer is overweight and closer to being clinically obese (30 BMI), than they are in a healthy weight (18.5-25 BMI). Getting people fit, healthy and more productive as a consequence is something that should always be praised.
And while I am at it, the average BMI in Canada is at 27. The healthier everyone is in your country, the lower the healthcare expenditure is, and your taxes alongside it. Imagine being so tribalistic you oppose a game that indirectly does you and society a lot of good.
Needless to say, people who exercise, including playing games like Beat Sabre were significantly more skilled at video games that people who only play sedentary games like Dark Souls. And playing a game which makes you better at everything you do, including EVERY single video game. Is a much better time investment than a single game whose skills don't translate anywhere else. Fromsoft games are a waste of time. Demons, Dark Souls 1, 3 and Bloodborne were fun though. But they were a waste of my time.
