Bayonetta 2: The Only Outstanding Game To Come Out Of 2014

It has been bumpy with scores this year. A lot of big games getting HORRIBLE scores. From Day One to Day None! Yet one game is worth buying.

Yes, the garbage that these systems have received the last few months don't stand a chance against Bayonetta 2. An actual outstanding game.

Awarded with a Prime and Essential AAAAE score, makes it the only game worth getting.

Now, don't shout at me. I'm just following the modern review scale.

So, how much do you care about scores? How much have the last GS scores put you from buying titles like Unity, Destiny, Far Cry 4, LBP3, MCC, Driveclub, and so fan-freaking on.

Yes? No? Maybe? Perhaps you just don't know.

sites like gamespot and ign are the last place I take influence from when choosing a game to buy.

Dark Souls 2, Dragon Age I?

I buy whatever the **** I want and I play whatever the **** I want. That's why one of my fav franchises of last gen was Yakuza and the reason I'm playing Secret of Mana right now.

You TC can keep flaunting Bayonetta 10/10 in front of everyone's faces and I will still not give a ****. A few times was alright to piss off the fanboys but this is like the 20th thread of yours about the same damn thing. I think everyone already got the message and the game's still flopping sales wise like pretty much everyone was expecting.

if it's a game from a series I like and it gets an 8 it usually a must by for me for example Mario Kart or Smash 3DS. Any lower and I need to dig around and do a little more research. 7's are usually safe. Like Ratchet and clank Tools of destruction, Donkey Tropical Freeze. 6's though. Master Cheif collection is the first 6 that I would give a second glance in a long time. Of course I don't have an XBONE so it's really non issue.

Too bad that it was released for a system that has like 10 gamers worldwide.

Top 3 games that are sure fire GOTY runners are

Bayonetta 2, Dragon Age Inquisition, and Divinity Original Sin.

The only "10" score I feel even remotely justified in its genre was Super Mario Galaxy 2 ... the others have been "wtf are these reviewers smoking?" .... but in all fairness with bayonetta is the "theme" I have a problem with ..... cringe worthy to its core...

It's closer to a 10 than most other games... GTA4/MGS4 were lolsworthy.

I don't care about scores that much.

I expect games like Star citizen to score low yet be cult classics.

I find pretty much any of the other big Nintendo games far better than that cringe worthy so called "10" that was just handed out. made by the mind of a 15 year old naruto fan wanking in his basement.

Yes Bayonetta 2 and Divinity were great.
Mario Kart 8 and Shadow of Mordor were cool too, though no contenders for GOTY imo.
Dunno about Dragon Age:I... It looks very uninteresting but I guess I'll give it a shot. When it's priced like a normal game.

Wrong, Shadows of mordor, lords of the fallen, wolfenstein were all outstanding games.

Not too much. If I see potential, I dig into the game. That involves reading and watching reviews, not just looking at scores

My vote for best game thus far of 2014.

Scores have meant very little to me this year, this past month I enjoyed LOTF more than CoD AW and Shadow of Mordor which scored higher than it on Metacritic.

I also enjoyed Wasteland 2 a lot more than Divinity Original Sin, and thought Dark Souls II was a let down despite reviews being stronger than for the first game.

Judging by my game collection, I care about scores a lot. And really the only 2014 game I've been turned off of (that I was interested in) was Destiny, and that's nothing to do with scores or reviews.

So you're wrong. Also Shadow of Mordor is fantastic, people loved Dark Souls 2, Mario Kart 8, and now Dragon Age Inquisition (which nobody really had any faith in) all came out.

haven't played Bayonetta 2 yet, once i'm done with FarCry 4,Dragon Age 3 and Smash Bros. Bayonetta 2 is the next game i'm getting since there's nothing left for me to get til February 2015

Agreed with the statement of it is the only outstanding game that came out this year. Tons of good stuff, really good stuff like Shovel Knight, Tittyfall, Velocity 2x, Wolfenstein, The Evil Within, Super Time Force, etc, but Bayonetta 2 is straight excellent and one of the best action games period. That combat is so fucking good.
