err Battlefield is mainely an Online MultiPlayer series(except Bad Company) and COD is a Single Player driven with campaigns e.t c with Online. But I perfer Battlfield multiplayer and I love the single player campaigns in COD 1 and 2

I like Battlefield Bad Company but Call of Duty series destroys them all in my (awesome) opinion.

For me Battlefield 2 represents the perfect online play so far and still hasn't been surpassed. Single player, well obviously Call of Duty series.

battlefield.. but this is coming from a pc gamer's perspective.. since most console gamers would say CoD since its gotten more console friendly(not talking down on consoles)and not had a proper taste of BF(bad company isnt even close) i say BF cause of the scale.. more players online at once.. more intense battles.. but thats just MY OPINION :)

p.s

these games are completely different.. so not fair to compare

Wow. This is a close one.

I love Call of Duty because of it's fluent and intense gameplay.

I love battlefield because of its open and tactics-oriented gameplay

....i like open and free more than closed and intense.Battlefield gets my vote.

Both offer different things, Battlefield 2 has better multiplayer maps but COD4 has more addictive gameplay.

Battlefield has the better series but Call of Duty 4 is probably the best game. I voted for Battlefield series.

They aren't very comparable. However, they both started out with WWII, and both franchises started going downhill after the first installment.

With that said, I would easily take battlefield over Call of Duty. Just play Forgotten Hope to see why.

Hmmm... Been a fan since the first of both respective series. Personally Battlefield. Call of Duty borrows heavily from Medal of Honor as far as design goes - and quite frankly is still yet to match the quality of the first. The Battlefield series has evolved online multiplayer much further, since pre BF1942 starting with Codename Eagle (DICE's first game to have similar multiplayer). As for titles like Bad Company? Eh, they are good, but i'm not about to put them under the 'Battlefield series', just like the last generation console spinoffs of COD like 'big red one' were.

It did years ago. Call of Duty United Offensive. Its design is both a combination of COD1 with elements of Day of Defeat and Battlefield added. Probably one of the best COD MP modes to date. Oh COD3 had vehicles too, pity they sucked.

Yep, but I'd like to see more :) For example, some small maps with little of no vehicles and some massive maps that'd work brilliantly with a chopper or a tank convoy.

My criticism with both Call of Duty anything and Battlfield 2 is that on the surface they appear relistic, but in the core its arcadey and casual. These games just feel... weak to me. But I vote for Battleliefd 2 over Call of Duty 4 because of the Project Reality mod.

I can get behind that, BF:BC wasnt that good IMO and all the previous BF on console were complete trash IMO a good game of BF2 or BF2142 is up there with the best game experiences

Battlefield in a hearbeat, tho there isn't really a proper BFgame this gen aside from BF2142, but when BF3 hits I think it will show who's boss once and for all. Note - I consider Bad Company more of a spin off.

battlefield by miles, call of duty is ok but it is nothing like BF when it comes to online play, but if you do prefer single player then call of duty wins because battle field games dont have a proper single player game

Agree with you here, call of duty started to become stale after two, but CoD4 Modern warefare brought it back, World at War was okay but so tired of WW2 shooters.

Console player here.

If you want chaos, go all out. COD doesn't do it properly. It's just a nade fest with super accurate guns with no recoil. I loved BF2 because you have actual people flying choppers, not some assist which could find and kill people in places where the player didn't even know where they were at. A bunch of tanks, sniping took skill so you rarely ever saw someone sniping, because you couldn't just pick up a sniper and go 20-0 like you can in COD4/WaW (I refer to these because most people never played previous ones, they started with 4 and claimed COD to be the best series ever)

BF takes a huge dump on COD, it's not even close. Ask someone who has played BF and COD from the beginning, not people who think COD4 is the greatest and that BF: Bad Company is actually Battlefield. BC is nothing like Battlefield yet people on here think it is.

is this even a real question?battlefield, which is a series that pretty much changes the way you game online for PC vs a series that recycles their games every year and released cod5, which is basically a MOD of cod 4. and sold it for $60. battlefield 2 is better than any cod game by miles.

I'd put the first CoD over BF2 (modless) any day. BF2 had so many balancing and technical issues (the engine it runs on is one of the worst I've seen) that I cannot bring myself to enjoy it without total conversion mods like Forgotten Hope 2. It felt nothing like BF1942.
