We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards. We greatly value our customers and know that while there are a significant amount of players who are enjoying the game on PC, we want to do whatever we can to make the experience better for PC players overall.

Fixed the title. They're still suspending sales though, I imagine that means it will be taken off, they just haven't gotten to it yet.

This is probably the worst AAA PC port I've seen the past decade.

The last PC port that ran worse AND looked worse then the console release was Splinter Cell Double Agent.

I don't think they should remove it, it still works on certain setups. If people are that bummed about it they can get a refund no questions asked.

Nah, even if it runs fine the game is still missing core visual features. This is not something they can legally do, tbh. You can file complaints vs this stuff. This really was the best course of action at this point.

It's probably just a PR stunt to calm the raging mob.

I wouldn't call it a stunt. Sure, it's definitely a PR move in one way or another, but it's also morally sound and not entirely profit driven.

On the steam page it now says "Batman: Arkham Knight will be available on SteamOS, Linux and Mac in Fall 2015."

Then again, that's probably the proper period of time in order to make the PC version.

It flops here on GS, and now they're recalling the PC version because of how terrible the port is.

It's master race because 99% of games are much better on PC and more exclusives than all systems combined and gfx kings.

Gotta love the power of Valve. No doubt WB was feeling the heat because all the refunds. Valve was not impressed. This is a good move on their part, but the game should never have been released like this.

PC gamers win!!!! This game for PC should never had been released in this state. Worst game release I've ever experienced and been apart of.

This shouldn't need explaining. That is the release time for the non-windows versions. Notice how windows is not included there? There is no release date confirmed yet. It will not take that long.

System wars is built on anti-consumer toxicity. "OH, your platform got shafted? GOOD FOR ME I GUESS, **** YOU" These kinds of people must be very happy irl.

What I learnt from all this is that console gamers have developed a serious inferiority complex. There was more insecure console gamers circle-jerking about PC Master Race than PC gamers actually complaining about the game. Seriously, guys, console gamers, some of you need actual professional help :P

PS4 version is back to tops I guess.

I got two copies of the PS4 version (PS4 Batman machine and Batman AK C.E.) due to the Scarecrow content and I prefer physical console copies of multiplats as a collector.

Yeah I'm well aware of that. But this is much worse than arguing over a few dropped frames and resolution differences. Like I said this was essentially a scam by WB/rocksteady. They are applauding theft.

Well I would argue defending exclusivity is on the same line. I am the last to defend PC exclusives. No matter what, exclusivity is bad UNLESS it benefits the developer like in the case of Bayonetta 2, or Indie developers who can't afford to make it completely multiplatform.

I really don't get it. Did no one at the studio even run it once before releasing it? Or did they expect us to not notice the horrible state of the game somehow? This is crazy stuff..

I really don't know of any port that was this bad.

This is, keeping standards in mind. Dark Souls may have been a bad port but it was at least graphically on par with the console versions, this game was not.

Any Obsidian game in my life time.

I understand the outrage over the abusive vram usage, but I'm not getting crashes out the wazoo, I'm getting a game that looks less detailed than a PS4 game while running at gross framerate. It's bad, but the PC has had way more broken shit. Saints Row 2 and GTA 4's PC ports were yucktastic.

The PC version was my plan all along. One of these days the game will run with SLI and I will enjoy a framerate that is double of what is available on consoles with graphics settings that put the consoles to shame. Until that day comes I guess I will play games on PS4, Xbox One, Wii U and PC as well as my insane backlog that reaches all the way back to the NES. PS4 users should consider this a victory however since they obviously have the advantage out of the gate. Hermits are only a tick or two above sheep since the game is barely playable vs not playable at all on the Wii U.
