At the store...3DS or nah?

So I'm at Frys and I see the galaxy 3ds...should I get it or just go with a 2DS?

I want to see if it's really better than vita. For SW purposes.

3DS is much nicer than a 2DS. New 3DS Xl is the best you can get from the system.

Personally I'd get a N3DS cause you won't be gimped on some games like Monster Hunter.

get that galaxy 3ds, 2ds is lame. Is ps vita still alive, Sony touts it as an indie machine and I never see it in gaming news

2ds is a glorified door stop, but if you dont mind that the 3d effect really isnt that important. Other than that, I would get a different new 3ds, that galaxy is ugly

The N3DS/ XL is where its at. The 2DS is mainly for cheap parents, and people that are set out to play only a few games.

I like the game a lot, but it's pretty flawed. If you like JRPGs, it scratches that itch.

2DS is a piece of cheap junk, 3DS XL rules.

3DS is solid, but that is a pretty sweet deal for the 2DS.

Isn't the 2DS only missing the 3D? It looks like an odd form factor, but it's functionally the same sans the 3D. I have an XL, but if I was choosing now I'd honestly probably just save the $120 and get the 2DS+ game.

Keep mind I only paid $149 for my 3DS XL. There were many bundles priced at that price. It's honestly bizarre to me that Nintendo has gotten away for so long with it at $199, even for the "new" 3DS which probably doesn't cost any more to manufacture.

If you haven't decided, go ahead and get the 3DS. It's got some good stuff in its library, in spite of the imminence of the NX.

Ive been wanting to see that thing so bad. I ended up getting the small n3DS at Target for $149, but that Galaxy looks amazing from pictures ive seen so far.

If you got money to burn, get a New 3DS XL. Gotta say though, this late in the gen, might be harder to acquire some of the best games, unless you don't mind buying used, or overpriced digital, or that over-priced used/new rarer titles. If you have a library of DS titles, this will breath new life into them.

Anyhow, NX is around the corner, I'd just wait at this point.

get the New 3DS. i just got one recently myself and i am loving it! Luigis mansion is awesome.

3DS is probably the best platform of this gen... well second only to the PC obviously. If you want one just to play a couple games I'd get the 2DS. The thing isn't elegant and has mono sound, but it can get the job done and is dirt cheap. I mean, it's practically free.

I doubt you're still at Fry's trying to decide if the Galaxy model was the right purchase, so I'm going to lock this thread.
