As much as im against it...SSBB might go AAA....

for awhile now when ive seen people hyping brawl AAA ive pretty much been like.....cmon guys look at the other 2 scores its not the kinda game that can go AAA. Now that Dojo's giving us more and more info about it it truly is starting to shape up as a great looking game. the disk is going to be BRIMMING with content, its almost unbeliveable how ninty is giving us everything from 3rd party charaters to assist trophies to level creator and online.

Now that i think back to ssb and ssbm they never seemed like complete games and THRIVED off multiplayer. Brawl is establishing a firm single player and has upgraded its multiplayer and is the kinda game that loves bonus content.

If meele could get a 8.9 with all the feelings of tack-onness (it was supposed to have king dee dee and possibly snake, and the character select menu wasnt straight plus adventure was garabage) we finally saw why nintendo delays games, for a good reason. Now that brawls been delayed, i defenetly think this game is going to be truely great

I've offically switched to hyping it from AA to AAA

It's hilarious that it was ONLY hyped AA. Nintendo fanboys were a little gunshy after Corruption and TP, so it's a little understandable. However, to only hype your biggest game of ALL 08 only AA is just sad. It deserves AAA hype, and that's more than likely what it will score.

Under this review system the last one WOULD have scored AAA.

Now, couple this with the fact it adds an unbelievable amount to the previous one that would've scored AAA under this structure (online, level editor, etc.) it's funny to only hype it AA, that's all.

Not really. From the hands on preview on GS, they didn't exactly seem like Smash fans themselves, and stated that the gameplay was "more of the same," which is good if the game is Halo, bad if it's anything else. I'll be surprised if it gets anything higher than AA.

GS will not give a SSBB AAA based on thier previewEPaul

they played a demo including only a few characters, stages, NO rule selection, and it didnt show off brawls depth at all

I remember people saying that GS would flop Galaxy for kicks.

And I honestly think that Brawl has a good chance at AAA, even on GS.

I'm hyping it AAA despite the franchise's history here at GS. They're pulling out all the stops for this one.

9.5 might be pushing it, but I think this game definitely has a great shot at AAA.

The sheer quantity of bonus content and opportunities for user-generated material should do good things for the score. See what it did for Halo 3. It can only help Smash Bros.

It seems that Sakurai is doing everything he can to address every potential flaw with the franchise, and while it can only do so much if the reviewers aren't smitten with the base gameplay, it will definitely help the score a good deal.

I've been thinking up until recently that there was no way Brawl would get AAA... but it's just got so many features... and so much polish... as long as the fighting mechanics are solid and SSE turns out good, it's an AAA shoo-in.Funkyhamster

If you look at Jeff in an Attack of the Show debate, with some dude from EGM, he was the one disapointed with Halo. Based on the beta, he was calling it more of the same and not really trying anything new.

The people who did the smash bros DEMO ( much smaller than even a beta) were forced to play with certain controls. It's quite possible that once they get a hold of the rest of the game, like Jeff did with Halo 3, they'll be much more impressed.
