Just curious about this, do you guys think we can trust Microsoft. Theyve lied about XO being unable to work without internet. Angry Joe Major Nelson Interview They tried to cover up the consoles power with generic information like "5 Billion Transistors" as to not look weaker than PS4. They lied about not knowing COD Ghosts resolution. Even a Sony rep knew about it. LINK With all these cover ups and lies. Whats to stop MS from bring back the DRM. How can we trust them after theyve been caught in lie after lie?

Shall I give you reasons where you shouldn't trust Sony, or would you like to simply judge the product based on what is about to hit the shelves? Cause I can give you reasons to not trust Sony that will take up a whole page. Or we can come to an understanding that both companies have made errors and worked to correct them, but neither is innocent in the least.

As a gamer, considering the immense investment in dedicated servers, in games themselves, and Xbox Live I feel confident in trusting them as much as I trust any electronic company. Meaning put up, prove it, and I will buy. So far, so good.

Why not? You still trust sony after DRE, $599 US dollars, getting all your info stolen and an entire generation of lackluster multiplayer and services.

Sony seems to be delivering on their machine, MS is not. Thats the reason why I made this thread. As of late, Sony has cleaned up their act and MS kept the power of their machine secret all this time. That just not good business.

Hi Super :) I never got to thank you for the help on PUSH. I know you're a Xbox fan but you're alright with me :) But back to the topic, yes Sony did do that back then but theyve cleaned up their act considerably.

As a gamer, you should not be trusting any company, they don't give one sh*t about you, they only want your money.

And that's fine, that's what happens with big companies, but don't go blindly thinking they love you and they'd give you everything if they could.

It's not about trust. I don't trust any company. They are all only about money. But as a gamer I do think that Microsoft's option is the lesser of the two consoles so I won't be getting it first.

Ok let's compare.

RROD >>>>>>>>>> DRE problems

599, yeah the Xbone is weaker and more expensive than PS4 so both are even.

And lol, Xbox live was better in the past, the online services are exactly the same right now.

And that leaves out DRM, 24 hour check-ins,..

Conclusion:

pushing DRM, 24 hours check-in, RROD,... >>>>>>>>>>>> DRE, 599.

Also lemmings, by wanting to push DRM, MS proved they don't give a **** about its fanbase.

Lol at anyone who trusts MS.

Saying one is better than the other is completely moronic. They are both results of shitty hardware and even worse QA.

Some companies lie more than others. All businesses want to make money but how they treat their customers are different and what gains consumer trust. Try customer service with a top grade company then try customer service with a economy government grade company then tell me thery're the same thing.

Exactly what it says. If anyone trusts companies to be looking out for them and not the self interest of the company they are naive, stupid, or both.

Also on topic....why dont you just buy a PS4 and love and cherish it rather than creating another topic with the same BS.

All you get is the same set of cows and the same set of lems who produce for your viewing pleasure the same set of arguments which you will refute regardless of how reasonable they are, whats the point, there is nothing to discuss here.

My argument would be "I want an X1 because it does things the PS4 does not and suits the entertainment needs of myself and my whole family more adequately than the PS4". Most of the people buying an X1 will have a similar outlook to mine and are not interested in your feeling towards MS.

"Trusting" a company is, in general, unwise. Keep in mind-- at the core of it, Sony and Microsoft both have one motivation and one motivation only:

To make money.

I'm choosing the Xbone over the PS4 because it has exclusives and multi plats that I want. There's just nothing on the PS4 that interests me.

That's not what you said. You said they lied that xbox wouldn't work without internet.

And Nelson didn't say it was impossible. He said "you don't know how easy it is to remove it, you're not part of the development team"

And frankly I don't think even Nelson knows anything regarding the underlying code of how the system works. He's the PR guy, he's not an engineer at MS.

Things like this

http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2012/05/29/sony-files-patent-that-would-pause-games-to-show-ads/

http://www.techspot.com/news/51227-sony-applies-for-rfid-drm-patent-that-would-block-used-games.html

...

Who trusts Sony enough to not implement these types of policies if MS wasn't around?

You can trust them to screw you over.

RROD, pay for it yourself until you sue us.
Paying for a service? We up the price after you made your investment.
Potential cheater? We wreck your HDD just in case.
Removing support halfway through.
They sold a barely functioning Kinect to millions of people.
And then they actively assist the NSA in spreading all data on you.

That was one generation.

I feel insulted that there are 'gamers' who buy an Xbox One.

Trust them, hell no.

The problem for microsoft is that I also choose not to buy from them because of their idiotic kinect stance and their generally lack of respect for my privacy.
