Poll As a Sony fan, I thought the Dev Direct from MS was really good, but... (21 votes)
What happened to the full RDNA 2.0, VRS, mesh shaders, 12 Tflops, faster GPU means it's going to have far better graphics than PS5 narrative?
I mean, I think MS had a really good show (keeping in mind I never expect them to deliver on Sony/Nintendo level) for their fans. But this needs to be said, xbox/PC fans who were hyper magnifying glass critical of ALL the Sony PS5 titles that have come out before but are deathly silent about how Redfall graphically (and animation wise) looks like a game from 2008.
It might be different of Xbox had other games to show off but there's nothing right now. Redfall and Starfield are the quote unquote show pieces for Xbox Series consoles in 2023 yet Redfall looks a full generation behind Sony's 2019 Days Gone on *PS4; never mind any 1st party PS5 exclusives.

But Starfield and Redfall are the first games from MS studios that were built with Xbox Series consoles in mind (Fight Sim was a 1yr old PC port) skipping Xbox One systems, but Redfall look like 2008 games and NO ONE has calling it out.

Stream viewer: "Do you feel the graphics are kind of weird in this one?"
Max: "Uhh, yea. It looks like a game from the late 2000's."
For the people who will probably point to Forza, as their Xbox Series console graphics validation a this year, I'll just compare it to LAST years , CROSS-GENERATION GT7.
2023 Forza Motorspot

2022 GT7

Good car graphics, Amazing! :-/
Car game graphics are the among the easiest to create. I really can't think of game car game with bad graphics past the PS3 era. But defaulting to another car game in 2023 to try to validate Series X capability after 2 years on the market is pretty sad after all that hoopla.
Do people here think Starfield can be that game to finally show Series X's illusive 12 Tflops graphics advantage over PS5 this year, or will PS5 easily go on to show the best game graphics this year over ANY platform in the industry for a 3rd year in a row this generation?
After 2 years of noisy hype about better graphics for Xbox Series consoles over PS5 based on Microsoft PR & spread sheets, why so silent now?
