Are you hyped for Star Wars Battlefront 2015?

We may get a trailer soon, how much exactly are you hyped for this star wars game from EA/DICE warriors?

Personally i never played a Battlefront game before, more fan of Star Wars Jedi Knight and KOTOR series.Still keeping an eye out for this game :)

DICE has proven they know what they're doing with Battlefield, mechanics wise. Along has the bugs and connection issues are ironed out, it'll fine.

The only thing i'm abit concerned about is the gaming being a literall SW mod for BF4. I mean, there'll be BF and modern day FPS staples, sure. But i hope for unique stuff.

DICE has never made a good single player campaign in their life. And no, Bad Company isn't either.

Yeah! I think this could become WAY more interesting than yet another Battlefield game.

Only because it's been 10 years since a good Star Wars shooter came out. I was never big on Battlefront, but I'll take what I can get, and I think this one is supposed to be FPS focused.

@indzman: They canceled it and Disney abandoned the Trademark in 2013, remember? Which is a shame cause it looked really pretty.

Yes absolutely excited. It was Battlefront 2 that introduced to me online gaming and there were many days I dedicated the whole day to its online multiplayer. Pretty good campaign too

LucasArts was doing 1313 until Disney came bought the rights to Star Wars from George Lucas and Disney closed down LucasArts and 1313 was gone. But however, EA is now doing Star Wars games now and nobody doesn't own the copyrights on 1313 so hoping in the future, someone get's the copyrights and 1313 can be reborn.

Knowing EA they might, but DICE may pull off good multiplayer in Battlefront over single player campaigns.I have optimism in the game having a solid multiplayer :)

Very. I haven't played a good multiplayer fps in ages. Really do believe that BC2 was the last i enjoyed a lot.

December?! That's a great release date for a film especially for young people/students due to Christmas break, but a HORRIBLE release date for a game. Hopefully it's just a rumor. OCT, NOV, DEC are big sales months and to miss all but the last few weeks is really going to hurt the game sales. If they want to promote the movie with the game, throw in those movie dollars with it. At the very least, the game should release prior to Black Friday.

Anyhow, I'm excited since I think DICE developing this is a match made in heaven for the series. Battlefronts basically played like BF conquest mode with capture points and has the same elements of mixing vehicles with infantry. Glad to hear they developed it as an FPS, hopefully it feels more like Battlefield with a Star Wars skin, but either way that's basically what Battlefronts felt like but as a TPS (they're making it an FPS). I hope they bring into this game Battlefield's signature classes (assault, medic, demolition, sniper) with their own mix of team support (ammo, health, repair, recon).

As for the name, I think it should be Battlefield: Star Wars Battlefronts, as that speaks to the union of these two signature franchises.

You do know that EA is the only Co. will forever work and publisher Star Wars from now one right? I don't like EA but I'm giving them a chance with Battlefront so let's give them a chance and who knows, it might be good. When was the last time a SW game was release? My last one was The Force Unleashed.

I am, I used to really like the Battlefront games. Hope they continue with being able to spawn as the legendary characters like before. Slaughtering people with Yoda and Vader gave me nerdgasms

Well last game I have been hyped about was destiny so ever since then I try not to get hyped but this seems like it will be good.

Reasons:

1. EA is publishing
2. EA also snatched up exclusive rights to the Star Wars license (see: Madden)
3. Origin
4. They are forcing it out to come out with the new movie (this never turns out well, ever)
5. DICE released Battlefield 4 in a nearly-broken state
6. The complete Hardline experience is $120

I want to be wrong, but I'm being cautiously pessimistic with the hope that I can be pleasantly surprised.

After seeing the graphics of Hardline I'm a little skeptical on the visual.

there whole game plan these days is hype the hell out of it and get it all over the internet don't trust the reviews imo look for niche small reviewers imo who bouhgt the game themselves

I don't have much hype for games anymore! But I will say that it already looks promising. I'm looking froward to seeing what they do with it on a technical level. Gameplay wise... well I'm expect something along the lines of Battlefield which, at least considering post-BC2 battlefield is quite boring.

Of course I'm talking about smaller websites and user reviews etc. I don't trust mainstream websites.

I love star wars but no way in hell am I buying a EA game day 1. I'll wait for a complete edition or not play it at all. I'm not paying $150 for the game plus a bunch of extortion dlc.
