Are you hyped for FFVII remake to flop?

FFVII flopping is highly unlikely. So, this thread is a fail.

Not only are you unable to play the best character but you have to wait for the next episodes to finish the game.

As far as remakes go, this might be the safest bet in gaming.

Even if it turns out awful, it won't flop commercially and likely won't critically.

Such a lazy poll ... Anyways, I both welcome a well made remake and a great original New IP.

Iv never wanted a game so badly to not flop. FFVII is my second favorite game ever.

No idea on end-game, but it doesn't seem like there will be anything. They've been hush-hush, and my assumption is that it ends after Midgar based on them saying there is "no time" to play as Red. If it ended at disc 1 of the original, there would be plenty of time.

I hope it does flop, no not because its a timed exclusive etc.

I hope it fails because of the gaming model it uses, take a game cut it up into pieces then sell those pieces to the general public at the price of a full game, and then let these consumers waiting to buy the rest of the pieces at a later stage.

And if this sells well it will only shows devs that gamers will bend over and take it up the arse for anything.

It's taking people with leaked copies 40-50 hours to complete the 1st part of FF7remake. It takes that long to beat the entire original game (without getting everything). Your value argument is falling apart

I don't really like many new ideas coming from the industry. I know what I like and online competitive multiplayer isn't it. That seems to be the shoehorn in all new IPs as of late. Sick of it.

As for Red XIII he will be a playable character. I guess some people just don't have any patience.

What rock are you living under. The game launched in some countries, retailers have released it in many areas, copies have shipped to customers worldwide etc... You gonna say all these people are lying?

I can’t wait for everyone who thought the changes and splitting the game up was a good idea to be homeless and begging the streets for change. Then maybe people will lift them up and they get a job far away from game industry

I don't think anyone here has said was a good idea to split the game. Its more like a reality that they can live with.

Nobody said it was a “good idea” that the game was split up. What I’m saying is you can’t claim it’s a bad value proposition since part 1 of the remake is as long as the entire original game. That eased my mind of any worries there. Well that and playing the demo. I wasn’t expecting much with this game, but the demo was pretty good.

Cancelled my pre order on RE3, which was my top three most hyped games for the year, but after seeing some gameplay on twitch, its not even bad. Will get the game, but since its 5h long, i'm not paying over $40

FF7 won't flop.

While I would have them use the resources for a new game, this game will not flop. (I only found the demo to be ok but to each their own)

I love remakes honestly.. Most of the new characters this generation have ranged from average to awful so nothing wrong with remakes or sequels to existing IP's.

I never liked FFVII anyways, tried many times over years, could never keep me playing, hopefully I like remake better, but I am waiting for the SeX version. In meantime, to celebrate 10th anniversary of FFXIII's North American multiplatform release, I've been playing FFFXIII trilogy in glorious 4K, it really holds up well and the X enhancementh breaths new life into it.

Remakes are the best thing to happen this generation.

I never got the chance to played FFVII when it was new as I was only 4 years old at the time. Now I finally get to enjoy one of the greatest games ever made.

I never got to enjoy RE2 or RE3 either - now I can.

I hope every remake surpasses the success of the original and exceeds all expectations - so that more developers of legendary video games remake their classics.

MGS4 is my favourite game of all time, MGS5 is top 3, MGS2 is top 5 for sure and MGS3 top 10 somewhere. MGS1? Never played it. I was 5 when it came out. Missed out on one of the best games of all time, and as MGS4 is my favourite and every other Metal Gear top 3 - top 10 something tells me this game is something I would absolutely love, but zero fucking chance am I going to play a 22 year PS1 game today. So Konami/Kojima - please remake in 4K/60 on Fox Engine with MGS4 controls.

I am hyped for the Remake, PERIOD!! Got my pre-order ready and just counting down. And there are plenty of reasons why this won't flop.

- Final Fantasy VII is a very treasured game.

- Whatever flaws it does have, most will overlook them just because it's Final Fantasy VII.

- Its development is being overseen by key former members of the original team that made the ps1 game. Including the original writer.

- Almost everything Final Fantasy VII related has done great commercially.

- Various fans have made countless attempts to remake the game in full 3D. Showing our eager anticipation to get an official remake.

Most reasons are the same but it's the truth. We want a Final Fantasy VII remake. We NEED a Final Fantasy VII remake.
