E3 is less than 3 months away, what are you most excited about concerning the Wii U?

The possibilites of the tablet controller?

That your most beloved nintendo franchises are finally being given the full 1080p HD treatment?

Or as a gamer of other consoles, now that Nintendo is doing HDMI, do you see yourself purchasing a Nintendo system?

What other things are you excited about?

And if you're not excited... why not?

Can't wait. That tablet has so much potential. I'm keeping my expectations low though. There isn't much precedent to show us that the Wii U will end up being better than the Wii/GC/N64.

No, I have -10 interest in the Wii U. I loved the Gamecube, but I will admit I have lost all hope and faith in Nintendo and rarely even bother with looking their way anymore. They have made it clear to me with the Wii and now the Wii U that they do not wish to have my business. At least I still have Sony.

Yes, I've always wanted to use a tugboat for a controller. I wonder if they'll have a rubber duckie demo to demonstrate with it like Sony tends to do.

I lol at all the hating pretendos. they cry about wii mote being to different they give them a new controller with a few extra features and plays more like dual analog and they still cry about it. Yes its big but it fits fine in your hands! Pretendos have not given any good reasons to why wii u pad will be bad.

Zero exitement and i think the new controller is the worst thing i have seen in gaming

Nope. I would be all in with this if it was a true next gen console with normal controls but it looks like they went for Gimmick again. I know its more powerful than say current gen, but only slightly. I'll wait for PS4/720 before I buy my next console.

A gimmick is not always a bad thing. Im sick of seeing the term "gimmick" so looked down upon all the time. In many cases, hardware gimmicks go hand in hand with game innovation...some for better and some for worse. As for the Wii-U, for better comes to my mind. And it's not like traditional games and games taken full advantage of the control/tablet scheme cant coexist on the Wii-U(not to mention motion games).

Didn't like the Wiimote and Nintendo took my interest down even farther with the tablet controller. The only positive I'm looking forward to is a decrease in last gen prices at its release.

Well, the best idea I saw in its WHOLE trailer was having inventory on the controller, but that is just a slower way making you look down for no reason. In the end, the controller will just make games look worse by needing to dedicate power to it just so you can do a gimmick way of doing something slower.

My old controllers don't have a 6.2 inch touchscreen in the middle of it. Sorry I'm not into a touch screen controller for gaming on a television.

They have shown the controller. Which has a 6.2" touch screen on it. They've also shown us some basic features which can be implemented into gameplay, like being able to draw on the controller, controll minigames onscreen, use motion sensing, see off screen views of the game, play across from the controller to the TV, make videocalls, using an in built mic and camera.

Recent patents regarding the Wii U have also shown the ability to manipulate 3D objects on the conroller.

They've also Told us that the Wii U will be pioneering the upcoming Nintendo Network, which finally uses a unified online network, with various implemented features, such as onlne communites, NFC, and the ability to sell your downloaded games. They've even talked about the ability to download full retail games onto the Wii U.

Miyamoto has also said that he is working on a new IP, and Nintendo recently filed a patent for "The Last Ranger" which could point to the new IP.

There has also been a large number of rumors surrounding Wii U games and functionality to take note of. I don't see how anyone can not be excited.

It was also a terribly awkward controller.meetroid8

By look, yes. But the way I remembered it, It fit the hand like a glove.

I don't expect to see anything I haven't already seen on the (3)DS. It basically makes the WiiU a bigger, more powerful 3DS with maybe more functionality.

killzowned24

We could have easily manipulated a 3D model in a 3D space using a slightly tinkered dpad. It's just that an analog stick makes it easier. Having a touchscreen on the controller could enhance the ability of off-main screen actions, such as nukes in COD, or inventory managment, and even in some cases, accuracy (MMO/RTS)

All acounts report the controler to be lightweight and ergonomic. Developers have refered to it as "the swiss army knife of controllers" and have said that "it can do anything." Epic studios have said that they've seen batman on the it, and have said that the controller is used in some innovative and creative ways.

But I am excited about their E3 conference and the systems capabilities. After ALL information has been divulge, I might get excited. But I'm highly pessimistic on Nintendo consoles in general.

I am excited for the WiiU DESPITE the tablet controller. Here's hoping that at least some of the games released do not fully implement funky multitouch gestures and such as the sole means of gameplay input.

Nope. I can't explain it. I don't have the same excitement for the Wii has I did for the PS3 and Xbox360 so I am guess the same will go for WiiU. To me it is about the games I want to play, and I have yet see games I want to play on the WiiU. As for multi-platforms I tend to select the best looking version available on the consoles I have.

I am not sure. I haven't used my Wii in over a year and I just don't seem to get into the Ninty "bread and butter" games much anymore. Maybe if something blows me away at E3, otherwise I might just get a 3DS and use that for any Ninty fix.
