You thought that Sony exclusives were a walking simulator? You thought that David Cade games don't have any gameplay? Hellblade 2, a game that hasn't even entered full production is the pure definition of how not to create a video game. Could literally be "played" by pressing the analog stick forward/backward (left and right don't need any input😁) and one button used to attack/interact. I remember MS praising TLOU2, and wanted a cinematic game. This is their answer to a cinematic game🤣🤣🤣What a disaster.

I mean, if anyone has played the first I am sure they know what to expect. Anyhow, I liked first game and will gladly play this when available. Ninja Theory has almost never been a studio with strong gameplay, but they always seem to make up for it with story, no better example of this than Enslaved. Maybe the exception was the DMC they made, which I really liked but got ragged on hard. Hellblade wasn't strong on either really, combat was serviceable, puzzles okay, story was... I never really paid too much attention to it, but seemed to be their first major foray pushing graphics and atmosphere. Alongside making this the studio is doing its own R&D on making a photorealistic engine, I think I read they'll be using that for their upcoming horror game, whatever it's called. Also I believe Hellblade 2 will be among the first of MS's games to use UE5 so it will be worth a gander to see how that works out.

Anyhow, we'll need to see some gameplay, but nonetheless I am sure large swaths of the game will play out exactly like this, and considering the first game, I am sure that's to be expected.

Did they show Redfall? I don't remember seeing it. Isn't that supposed to release summer 2022?

I played some of the first one and enjoyed it more then I was expecting. I really liked what I saw from the VGA showing. Looking forward to playing it when it comes out.

It looks fine. It's just a cinematic demo, like every AAA game has been using to promote themselves over the last decade. Nothing unusual about this at all.

Yeah it looked great graphically but I could not tell if it was gameplay or not.

Graphics are the best I’ve seen. But I didn’t like the first that much so I doubt ill like this.

I thought heavily sword was awesome. wish they made the 2nd one to that game instead.

Hellblade absolutely sucked, just a dull, miserable game with no depth and annoying puzzles that only got any love because of the mental health aspect and some decent visuals.

It was a very odd sequence. It seemed like you could aim the spears a tiny bit, but with no real effect on what happened. Never played the first one, but I thought it had more gameplay than this.

Edit: Like what @lamprey263 said, anyone who played & enjoy the first Hellblade pretty much already knows what to expect for the sequel and I enjoy the first game. Plus, it's a good walking simulator so not much we can say or talk about the sequel but I'm pretty damn sure everyone knows what to expect.

It would have to be the PC version since Xbox doesn't support VR. I doubt MS is going to up the budget for a port that will never come to their console.
