Quantum break looks to have the hype to be a big release. it got lost of praise even before the original E3 reveal, and has been in people minds ever since. Considering it's integrated with Xbox One features It's highly unlikely that it will end up On PC either. Not to mention MS owns the IP. We still need to see a bit more gameplay and features, perhaps this will happen at gamecom.

Some People think Sunset Overdrive will have modest excitement due to Insomniacs last game Fuse, but just like The last 3 Ratchet and Clank games I doubt people know that exists. Instead, you are getting a cartoon wacky adventure similar to Spyro and early Ratchet games bundled with a White Xbox (optional) with great graphics, and tons of unique stage and enemy designs. The game seems to just be there as a fun not so serious game you can pick up any time for hours, so i think it has a chance if pushed and advertised right.

No. Sunset overdrive had a great trailer but the gameplay looked meh. Borderlands will destroy it in content.

Quantum Break has potential to be big but I dont see it garnering much interest.

@TigerSuperman:

Difficult to say. MS did a horrible job promoting Alan Wake when it was exclusive, and Remedy reportedly made most of their money from the PC port.

Both games will depend on the marketing since they are new, unproven IP's.

For some reason, I don't see QB doing all that good. I sure hope it does.

Sunset Overdrive has a bundle going for itself, so that'll surely help. I think SO will do better than QB. Abbreviations are fun.

Sunset Overdrive probably average at best, not a game I would want even if it was on PC or PS4 I really don't like 3D cartoon style is has and the gameplay looks it's tailored for people with ADHD.

Quantum Wake looks like it could be OK though, have to wait for some gameplay.

I think Quantum Break will be big, Sunset Overdrive will probably be a great game but I don't see it being a really big seller

They're both going to be big as in "big disappointments" or "overhyped games". Games rarely live up to expectations these days because of the constant hype and advertisers bullshit. Expect two decent or mediocre games and you won't end up disappointed.

Sunset Overdive won't because Insomniac has a history of making bad shooters, and there's too much competition on the platform for the game to succeed against.

Quantum Break looks awesome. I think it's too early to tell if it'll be "big" though. It's got that whole gameplay/tv integration thing going on. Not sure if people will care for that.

Like Halo big no. Sunset overdrive can become a cult classic or niche type game though similar to how jet set radio was. QB I don't see it become Halo huge unless there is a huge marketing push like 3 months from release.

Quantum Break will be a great game but I don't expect it to be a huge financial success because it is not just another dude bro shooter . Its reveal video with jaw dropping footage have barely received 500k views so far . If it was Gears of War 4 teaser , right now total views would've been over 5 million . Not sure about Sunset Overdrive though .

I expect lifetime sales of QB on Xbox One , between 2-3 million . Alan Wake sold approximately 1.5 million on Xbox 360 .

Can't say that either look that impressive atm. I'll have to wait to wait to see more but QB looks like a giant plate of "meh"

Remedy is best at home on the PC. Granted their last effort with MS was good and solid but they need absolute creative freedom.

Creating a time manipulation game with those elements is ok but it's been done before albeit poorly in timeshift.

I'm willing to bet $100 bucks and my pinky finger QB will be coming to PC like ALL other remedy games.
I mean just look ryse is comin to PC too now. Obviously these games aren't selling if the developers and publishers
are jumping ship to at least PC to sell more.

It only sold that much because it was also forced into a bundle with I think forza

The first day it went to PC it had already broke even on development cost and sold an absurd amount

Both games look awesome, and I'll definitely be checking them out closer to release. But whether they are system sellers, not sure.

both games look awesome....but im guessing a 5-6 million sales at most. both ips dont look like 10 million sales material to me (what i mean by that is not that it doesnt look great but more like its not a gears of war, halo or cod type game that appeals to the masses)

No Man's Sky is not made by Sony. It is an indie game made by Hello Games. It was never exclusive to Sony, nor was it ever going to be.

It really depends on the Gameplay. If the IPs have solid gameplay then yeah they can start creating a franchise out of these games.

@Animal-Mother: QB can't come to PC with the TV integration features, which also cost lots of money, and dropping it even 2 years down the line would be panic.

They both look great to me and are contributing reasons to why I bought an Xbox One. How they end up doing remains to be seen.

Yeah. Not Halo or Gears big. But the 1+ million seller ala Forza, Dead Rising I think with good marketing and and the quality of the dev behind both game I think both could come near 2 million sales each. Time and the final product will tell. But neither are the 5+ million seller games IMHO.

@blamix99:

I have the same opinion as you. I was excited for sunset overdrive until I saw the gameplay footage. It looks like it would get boring and stale in about 30 minutes.

Quantum break makes me want to get an xbone just for that.
