Are any of you guys hyped for Fallout 76?

Because I am. Don't get me wrong, though, I've never been an MMO type gamer. But I always told myself, being a fairly huge FO fan, that if I were ever to play an MMO, it would be if Bethesda made a Fallout MMO. And here we are. I seriously can't wait, so much so that I'm considering pre-ordering (which I never do) to get in on the beta. I was one of those gamers that loved the base building aspect of FO4, so to see that carried on in a bigger way, evidently, in FO76 has me drooling a bit. Also hearing that the world of FO76 is four times the size of FO4 has me hyped to the moon and back, as exploration is more or less my favorite thing to do in Fallout. I just hope Bethesda allows me to highlight my hair purple, so it can match my actual hair. Gonna be a purple-haired traveling heater merchant with an exceptionally itchy trigger finger. Or something like that. Ooooooh the possibilities.

So what about you guys? Yay? Nay? Somewhere in between?

I think Fallout 4 as an overated RPG, like Fallout 3, so Fallout 76 is not for me at all.

I am more hyped for an older Fallout remaster really, 76 doesn't look like my sort of Fallout game.

By the online “gamer” response I can tell this game is going to be huge. Because so many are pretending they won’t buy it. Hilarious.

Fallout 76 is definitely playing into Bethesda's strengths - a big open map, minimal writing, and all of the fun is created by the community.

Still, I have no interest in it. I haven't bothered with MMOs or online shooters for years, and nothing about this game sounds like something I wanted in a Fallout game.

I'm curious about it. Might not be what I was expecting, but I'll give it a shot.

Fallout 4 was BGS's worst game of all time and one of the main reasons was due to the horrific settlement system.

Now FO76 is all about building shit and is a RUST clone for the most part.

Wait F76 is a mmo, well nope i have no interest. I still have F4 and havent even touched it.

As long as it doesn't become "Let me and my friends set up camp around the missile silo to troll my server"76, I'll probably be into it. I'll wait a couple of weeks after launch to see how it goes, though. Community is everything with persistent online games.

Love Fallout so I am definitely excited for Fallout 76. I thought Fallout 4 was decent; mods definitely helped make that a much better experience though on PC!

Yeah I’m pretty hyped for it myself. Loved Fallout 3, New Vegas, and 4. The thought of exploring the world of Fallout with and against other human players is something that really intrigues me.

I love the fallout 3, NV, and 4. It really bummed me out when it turn out to be an online game. It's such a cool premise to be the first people out of the vault.

Yet, Fallout 4 is now Bethesda's best-selling game, topping even Skyrim. The game may not be to your tastes. But, it is with me and lots of other buyers.

The settlements and supply routes are mostly optional (apart from a couple of storyline missions). I found them fun, especially after finishing the main SP campaign.

But, I won't care much for the online-only Fallout 76. I only play the SP Fallout games.

It's also their lowest scoring game of all time, both critic and especially user scores. It got trampled in GOTYs and score by Witcher 3. That doesn't usually happen for a BGS game.

Settlements blew man, half assed system an excuse they used to keep the world have almost no real towns.

Im hyped, i dig the co-op PvE stuff like Fortnite Save the world mode and building up your base. Im not a fan of PvP but it seems like that wont be dominant, in that i'll be able to enjoy the PvE co-op aspect of the game.

I wanna be hyped because I do love fallout, but I feel like its going flop or just be terrible, I'm gonna wait till release.

It's like, these forums are just full of people that hate every game for every system ever. Especially the good ones. I loved 3, loved NV, loved 4, and have always wished I could play with the wife and friends in the same wasteland. So the reveal of 76 blew my mind! Games like this are why my household has two of each console, and when this launches both PS4's gonna be running all night, for a long time. One of the pre-ordered copies is the one with the power armor helmet. Hyped the eff up!!

I'm not a big fallout fan, but after watching the E3 demo I'm extremely hyped. I've been asking for an open world Bethesda game that has multiplayer for a long while.

No. A coop fallout would be great fun, but dealing with a watered down SP-type experience in order to accommodate random internet griefers and the weird nuke system? No thanks.

Not really. Fallout 4 was kind of a chore at times. Playing one 4 times bigger with a bunch of trolls sounds less appealing.

Not hyped for anything from Bethesturdia.

Fallout is dead. The only ones that matter are 1/2/NV with 3/4 and whatever other crap they put out being pale intimations and bastardizations of a treasured cRPG franchise.

I'm not, which is weird for me to say about a Fallout game. I would be if it were an MMO RPG. I wouldn't be as happy with that than I would be with a real Fallout game but I would still look forward to it.

Its formula has gotten stale, I really want to try the online aspect though....idk

If we're going by Metacritic pro reviews, the Fallout 4 PC and New Vegas PC are essentially tied at 84. Fallout 3 got a 91. Yet, many would say New Vegas was the best among the three.

So, I don't go by scores alone. I also take into account how much the players/buyers want the game. At this late stage, all the crap about Fallout 4 being overrated are already widespread. Yet, sales seem to be experiencing a second wind. It's not consistent with the negative hype I'm seeing.

I've seen a lot of negative hype emerge for certain games, starting with Crysis. Initially, I listened to the naysayers and avoided buying the game. But, I eventually found out that every game I avoided because of negative hype turned out to be okay. So, now, I don't listen to the naysayers.

It looks like Fallout 4 graphics and I don't really know how to play the game, so I can't say I'm hyped. An online Fallout does interest me a little though, so I'll just wait for feedback from people who've played it before deciding if I should get it.

Fallout 4 was a great experience in VR due to it putting you in the immersive post apocalyptic world but the VR implementation was half arsed. I didn't like the game at all outside of VR though, It was easily the worst FO game so far. For those reasons I am not hyped at all for the new one.

Not really. The emphasis on base building etc doesn't tickle my fancy, it's just a massive time sink for no gain. I would prefer to play through a good story like new vegas.

I want to be. I couldn't stay interested in F4 long enough to finish it. I loved 3, enjoyed NV. But being honest with myself, if I couldn't finish 4 then a game four times the size isn't going to be played by me.
