Aonuma: Zelda Footage Was In Engine, Real Time Gameplay

I assume it's in a debug mode with 'cinematic' camera angles that track the player differently than the game otherwise will.

But yeah, that is some impressive shit. The game looks absolutely stunning and gorgeous, AND it's open world, and to hear it's real time in engine gameplay... take a bow, Aonuma, you outdid yourself.

I pretty much figured that considering the obvious aliasing. Looks great though and I know I've said it enough, but I really dig the style.

What I don't get is that while this game does look good, it doesn't look so good that people should be questioning its authenticity.

The style carries it more than anything else.

Doubtful. I bet it's a short cutscene of the beginning of a boss fight shown in engine right before the transition to gameplay. Previous Zeldas have done the same thing many times.

Yeah, I could tell it was in engine using some kind of debug mode, with most likely a few cinematic moments. Like when the PC threw off his cape and made that leap. Unless of course, Roc's feather is back. The camera and movement made it clear it was ingame and in engine.

Maybe I've been spoiled, but I didn't think the graphics were that great. No doubt though that it is shaping up to be another great installment.

wow. they should have also asked him if the battles with the boss will be as dynamic as shown in the footage it would be really awesome if they are. also does that mean link can now jump from the horse and shoot arrow any time? it sort of implies it

I thought it was pretty obviously the in-game rendering engine.

Regardless, it looks very nice with a nice draw distance.

Wii U may be lacking the power that the other two consoles have but Nintendo has shown they can make some fantastic looking games. Mario 3D World, DKTF, Mario Kart 8.

This is impressive for Wii, Xbox, PS2. This is NOT impressive for 7th gen. Almost a joke for 8th gen. I could understand a sheep that never bought anything else but a Nintendo system (a gen behind so its understandable) being impressed with this because they're getting like 4 open world games per gen but im not sure wtf you find so impressive in this. For example, this looks worst, much much worst than Ass Creed and ass creed looks outdated...
