Anyone here stupid enough to already be playing AC: Odyssey?

I am. I accidentally bought the deluxe special goty edition, which apparently releases today. Now, this morning, I booted up my Xbox to download Forza: Horizon 4 from Game Pass, then I saw Odyssey was releasing today. I was like oh my god, so I immediately bought it without looking at anything. Yeah, the standard edition is releasing Friday.

I'm playing on Explorer mode because they said it's the way to play it. Gonna be a pain.

Why you call yourself stupid ? It's just a game. games are here for fun and entertainment(And maybe challenge for players that want to).

I could've waited til friday. I was planning on playing Horizon 4 in the meantime.

Black Flag is the only Assassin’s Creed game I have ever played and I didn’t like it one bit. My question is, is this game better than that one or the previous Origins game that I have decided to skip for the moment? People seemed to really like Origins.

Didn't get the gold edition, but was planning to pick up the regular for 50 bucks.

Pay extra to get a game 2 days early.

I got it mostly because of the explorer mode. What a step in a right direction. But i will get to play it on Friday only ? For now Valkyria Chronicles 4 will keep me busy.

@freedomfreak: Considering the reviews say you need to be playing 15 hours before something happens, then no I am not playing it nor will I be playing it.

Bioware style romance games are best from Bioware and not Ubisoft.

I'll skip this one for now. Will be busy with FH4 until RDR2.

It's your money and your hobby. Never feel ashamed as long as you wanted it and didn't use rent money to buy it.

nope i'm the stupid one who doesn't like ubisoft games, sees one in a sale several months after release, thinks "maybe this one will be different than the others," buys it, plays it, hates it, shelves it and swears it'll be his last.

I might wait, found Origins to be an improvement but still boring, back to overly padded AC games. Not inclined to play this until much later when on sale.

Honestly, I would like to play Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, but I got way too much games install into my PC and I just don't have the time atm to delve into AC Odyssey. Will have to pick it up next year.

My son is a big AC fan. I'll pick this up during the X-mas sale. I still haven't played Origins. Think I'll start this weekend.

Why would it be stupid to play Odissey? I'll probably never buy it because i have too many other games to get, but this is Ubisoft finally aiming at the right direction (same for Far Cry 5)! No towers, no highlighted collectables in the map, no checklist side stuff. Just blind, organic exploration.

Haven't played it, but Odyssey sounds like a mixture of AC Origins and Black Flag to me.

@freedomfreak: So how do you find the game now? What's your thoughts on AC:O? I get mine Friday.

Origins is easily worst in series.

only good one is black flag. everything else suck.

I had a good time with Origins but it got old after like 25 hours and I never finished it.

i'll probably get this on sale late this year or early next year

I'm the same anything to do with ancient Greece or Egypt and I'm in. Feels strange but I'm really looking forward to this after enjoying origins so much.

I still haven't played through Black Flag. So, there is no chance I will be playing Odyssey anytime soon.

After watching few hours of footage of the game, i decided to avoid it like plague. I mean the heroes in it look like, (sorry mods), morons. And the gameplay and missions look about as interesting as watching Kavanaugh live.

The game is great man. It's my favorite AC since the one set in London or whatever... I've played them all, but other then the other game I mentioned, this is the only one I am truly enjoying in quite some time.

Who cares who says what is "stupid" or whatever else... lol. Do your thang and let them hate. It's what haters do.. they hate.

This game is amazing. I'll be honest, I thought the whole RPG and dialogue thing would be a huge turnoff, but it's actually pretty great.

There's just enough stealth, it mixes really well with the normal combat. In Origins, it felt like stealth was an afterthought, but in this, it's more about organically implementing it as a viable strategy than just showcasing it. So you can go between brawling and assassinating effortlessly.

Better. Much better.

I'm pacing myself with Forza Horizon 4. Yeah I could spend rest of year with it, but I'm gonna use my co-op time with it, since most big games this holiday are Single Player.

Early 2019 is gonna be crazy, next 3 months is all we have before the flood comes.

The game's exploration mode sounds mighty interesting.

It's exactly the way I want to explore these beautiful open worlds, plus I hate HUD clutter >:D

@ghosts4ever: Do you not understand that their are levels between best ever and worst ever, cause that's about all you ever say and seem to be able to grasp.

Will wait awhile, I just bought FH4. Odyssey’s game length is a huge turn off for me though. Guess that’s part of being an adult.

I haven't beaten origins yet so ill wait on this till next year since RDR2 will take my time up soon.

Always a discount game for me. Only finished 2 and 3.

Rest always burn out long before the finishing line.
