Nope got what it deserved, they needed more routes through levels like they promised, and they needed to take out the terrible combat, trying to get the not firing a shot achievement made me want to murder people.bobbetybobSadly that achievement really undermined the games combat. If you just played that game without achievements in mind, used guns and disarms and the like it felt very Matrixy and was actually incredibly fun. Definitely an amazing single player experience, but its a one run through type of game and without any meaningful replay value (running for time is not enough to make me want to play again) so as a result the scores it got were pretty accurate
I enjoyed it. The setting, mood and feeling of the game was amazing, it's also one of the best looking games on PC IMO. I thought PhysX was implemented right, the fabric effects still amaze me.

I really liked Mirrors Edge, it felt refreshing, a change from the generic COD's and Halo's.

You can still use disarms and hand-to-hand combat, you just can't shoot guns. You're generally fast enough to ignore confrontations and move towards the next objective without dying anyway. The only parts that were difficult involved the heavy-gunner, but those parts generally gave you enough cover to get close enough to do a disarm.
Its one of my favorite games of all time. However, Im not blind to the complaints people so rightfully had about the game like the rocky story, depth, and things to do. Meh, regardless I'd like something unique.
I recently built a new PC and played through Mirror's Edge on it and the graphics wow'ed me over and over. Some of those interiors are insane, and the brush strokes on the paintings, nice touch. Overall the game was pretty fun, it had some really cool moments and some really bad ones. Story was meh, but I didn't mind the weird adobe flash-like cutscenes. I kinda liked them.
I found the PC controls were perfectly fine. Had to get used to pressinf "F" to zoom though. (Probably could of changed that....)
Just about what I think. I wish the only hing they would have added was a free roam. That would have bee amazing. Its one of my favorite games of all time. The only thing I liked about this game was you were encouraged to run away from the enemy rather than fight them.
Too often I'd find myself looking up a walk-through online only to find out I'm doing it right it's just the controls suck. Then there were all the times I was no where near the right area, or I was trying to get to the correct area in a way the designer hadn't planned, and the level builder didn't put the assets for me to climb up, or blocked off my path w/ an invisible wall. I felt most of my time in the game was spent frustrated instead of entertained, and that isn't what I would call a fun game. Yea there were a few awesome moments, but not enough to put up w/ all the frustrations.
I liked the art style, I think the special persuit cops were awesome, I thought the outdoor locations were great, I thought the music was fantastic.
However, I also thought that the freerunning mechanics were crap, I thought the police shove ability was cheap, I thought that the forced combat sequences were bloody awful and I thought that cops should have been limited to melee attacks for the most part. Faith seems to be the only person in that city who can't fight worth of **** in CQB. But then Dice is fairly useless when it comes to making games deep.

Any problem I had with the game could be solved by walking around for a few seconds or using runner vision(or whatever the slo-mo thing is called). I didn't find the game frustrating at all.
it was a good game, but everytime i played it i got a migraine.. i'll finish it up once mirrors edge 2 gets here
