I was completely on the fence about it since I haven't played it yet.
It is the first FO (since 3) I did not pre-order and from what I've seen I probably won't buy it. The world is empty, the lack of humanoid NPCs seems bad, I hate the random cards, I don't like how much MT stuff it has and while MP is done pretty well, I still hate the idea of random players destroying my stuff.
NO! I'm still bitter they had the temerity to put out a game that wasn't aimed at me. I didn't want a MP game so why make one?
Not sure I'll ever get over that.
yea, I'm playing it. I spent a few hours with it last night, starting out with a friend.
we just wandered around and shot stuff the entire time. The map seems large and fun to explore. enemy AI seems pretty dumb. feels a lot like Fallout 4.
not much more I can say at this point until I play more
No ultrawide support; no buy from me. Feels like a $60 early access title; maybe in 3-6 months depending on how the game has improved I'll see...
Nah, I'm playing Battlefield V at the moment.
No ultrawide support
Facepalm !
How's Battlefield V? I upgraded and got an i9-9900K and RTX 2080 ROG Strix!

Sweet bro !
I'll probably play nothing but Battlefield V for the upcoming time.
The presentation is top notch, the graphics are a step ahead, it feels like an improvement from Battlefield 1 in every single way.
Seriously, listing every improvement and thing I like about the game would mean I'll be here for ages typing xD

I'm also enjoying playing the Campaign a lot more then I thought. It might be lackluster, but I'm more of a single player guy then MP. I'm gonna try some MP gaming tonight.
By the way, @dagubot congrats on you're new i9 9900K/RTX 2080. Surprise you didn't jump on the Ti and yeah, it's expensive as hell I know. Also, got myself the Ryzen 2700X and waiting for my new case.
Those complaining about the lack of NPCs ... why cares so much?
Bethesda stories are GARBAGE tier, including side quests. I can't recall the main story in any of them.... people play Bethesda games for the story? REALLY?
I'm inclined to agree, I haven't played enough of the game to have a real opinion on it, but i'm all for Bethesda moving away from a story/dialogue heavy experience for something more focused on exploration/scavenging which has always been what they do best with these games.

Thanks guys. I'll jump on Battlefield V when my stuff gets here; my PC is currently indisposed at the moment while I overhaul it...lol.
Yeah! Trust me I was so close to jumping on the 2080 Ti but looking at the price to performance ratio compared to the RTX 2080 ROG Strix I felt I would be better off with the 2080 since I still don't plan on running 4K; sticking with my 3440 x 1440 ?
We'll see how my performance holds up though once I get everything up and running and maybe next year I'll upgrade to the Ti model!

Do jump into the multiplayer of Battlefield V, it definitely is the meat and bone of the series. The singleplayer is always fun, but you'll have a lot more memorable moments in the multiplayer.
Perhaps jump into some frontlines/domination to ease yourself into the game. After that check out a mix of conquest/operations and the infantry focussed mode. I'm sure there is something there you'll like for sure :)

Lucien Lachance
Maiq
Harkness
Sarah Lyons
Sheogorrath
babbette
Strong
I could go on, main stories may be weak but often they have a few NPC's that have really good/funny/quirky characterisation that add quite a lot to the atmosphere of the game.

Your name dropping nothing to me, so it couldn't of stood out that much to me personally.
Either way, you can have fun quirky stories through passive means.
given the core gameplay is there, I think the hate is completely overblown.
As someone who really enjoyed Fallout 3, New Vegas and even had fun with Fallout 4 (the weakest of the bunch), I was on the fence about 76. In the end, I decided to skip it for now. I don't agree with all the hate Fallout 76 is getting but I've seen enough gameplay and opinions of people I trust, to know that it's not really my type of game even though exploring Bethesda worlds is always fun.
