I don't know, if it has the same content issues of Destiny I really don't think so. But just like Destiny looks like it has solid gameplay.

I vote maybe. I’m hoping that it turns out to be great. Everything that I’ve seen on it so far is looking to be that way plus Bioware’s A team is the one working on it. My hype level for this game is very high right now.

exactly, mainstream critics are casuals and give GOTY to any terrible game all around. games like mass effect or witcher 3 has been regard as greatest thing since slice bread is nothing more than a joke.

It did, but you can't possibly say Inquisition was trash. It wasn't an excellent game, but was great.

Actually kiddies love to hate on what is cool, right now it's EA. And, Mass effect wasn't given GOTY, Mass effect 2 was beaten by Red Dead Redemption and neither was Mass effect 3. Where did you get your facts? Also, Witcher 3 is amazing and I'd rather take professional critics than some random forum nobody that is hating on a game because it's cool to hate. Haters be hating.

The game looks amazing to me, I preordered it after watching a gameplay demo.

It looks great but I'm definitely skeptical at this point. I could possibly see it in the top 5 but nowhere near Kingdom Hearts 3. I can easily see it in the top 5, though, if they don't screw it up

If it had a proper Bioware SP campaign, I'd say maybe... but now I'm not so sure.

2014 was a bad year for games.

It had tons of 7-8/10 quality games. Nothing was the obvious winner. There was no mega AAA game so all the journalists decided to pick Dragon Age or Shadow of Mordor.

I think both sucked horribly. I would have rathered NO game get GOTY that year.

Or give it to TLOU Remastered or GTAV ports.

Actually Wolfenstein The New Order was probably the best new game that year.

Didn't some of the gaming media journalists play a demo or vertical slice of anthem (or watch it get played behind closed doors) recently? Wasn't the overwhelming feeling that it wasn't all it was cracked up to be or did I just dream this up?

Dunno why Bioware keeps pushing the story + multiplayer mode idea. If Star Wars TOR proved anything its that they dont mix.

If the game leans too much in that direction I probably wont buy it. At least not until it lands in the bargain bin.

I expect Anthem to be a 7 out of 10 game. Good but not great. I would love a single-player campaign of the same quality as Mass Effect or Dragon Age, but I don't expect it to happen.

I honestly don't know how it will do. It has the ability to be a great coop game. Then again, it could also just be another Destiny which I was not a fan of at all. From what I have seen, it looks fun enough, but I am just not sold on the Destiny formula yet. (If that is what it in fact uses). I'm not making a solid judgement on the game yet though, I really want to see more of it.

and from what I just watched it looks horrible. but to be fair i find 3rd person view, number floating and help icons in the world to be very annyoing
