Anthem Demo Dates Released

February 1st - 3rd for public players

January 25th - 27th for VIP players

Are you hyped? What are your expectations for Anthem?

Personally, I'll give it a try, but my expectations are very low. EA did say that there won't be any microtransactions or paid DLC, but knowing EA there's always a catch.

Expecting Anthem to be fallout 76 of this year.

bioware has not done anything good since forever and their recent games are turning ever worse by worse.

Anthem signals the end of Bioware.

I can finally fulfill my dreams of becoming Iron man ( I actually didn't have any dreams of becoming Iron man. I lied.)

I'll try the demo, but I'm expecting derivative crap. It'll be good if I'm wrong, but I don't have much faith.

It'll be of higher quality than Andromeda but still doubt its going to be a good game

LOL at all the posters here saying they don't think Anthem will be a good game. Such denial gamers are with Anthem.

The best thing about this is, I have EA Origin Premier and so with that, I'll be able to download Anthem for free with all it's DLC included, (yes yes I know it's not free mind you) and unlike the above posters here, I'm really hype for Anthem. I love sci-fi stuff and I watch just about all the gameplay vids which got me hype.

PvE only has me hopeful it has more depth than Destiny. But undoubtedly there will be necessary updates to remedy design issues.

@davillain-: I don't think people should discount BioWare so readily but we don't have much concrete material to be hyped about. The story trailer didn't seem unique/exceptional and EA has gone from one screw up to the next.

I'll agree Anthem doesn't have lots of vids to start a hype nor not much is being said but I still have faith in Bioware though and I did in fact like Destiny in a sense, so I just happen to have an open mind what I'm getting myself into Anthem. I think we all know this is Bioware's last shot and I be surprise if they didn't put much efforts into Anthem.

@davillain-: Hopefully you're right and Anthem ends up great. I've been waiting for a good multiplayer game to catch my interest after overwatch.

It looks better than Destiny at least, but Destiny has always looked awful imo.

It was this game that killed Bioware.

Waiting for the same clowns that hated on BLOPS 4 to come hate on Anthem. BioWare has put out some of the best games ever. Hold your hot takes till the game comes out please.

@kuu2: lots of people hated blops 4. It only did pretty good because of blackout and zombies. That was the main components why people bought the game.

Agreed. I want to get hyped for it, but I just can't. The Bioware today is a much different company from the one that developed the KotoR games. Mass Effect and Jade Empire was pretty good too but that's when it all started going downhill.

Not hyped, but open-minded.

Looking for a good game in the vein of Destiny and Borderlands that is not Destiny or Borderlands :P Tried Warframe, great game, the aesthetic and complexity is not really for me though.

Still holding onto hope when it comes to Bioware; Andromeda wasn't that bad (not bad at all, actually), and I thought DA: I was an excellent game.

They've done plenty of good. Just not as great as it should be.

This demo will determine the success of bioware new game. Its a bad situation to be in with just how much bad press EA and ME Andromeda got. Even big franchises like Battlefield V bombed.

My opinion is If you like the game, buy it day one or wait until news of new mtx modes to decide. Its EA, they will stutter progression and add powerup mtx sometimes later. Starting early seems like a good choice

Did you also watch the one where Sony used footage from the X but put PS4 button prompts on it lol.

As for Anthem, well I don't care about the game so it makes no difference to me whether its a success or not.

I do find it stupid that the demo is available earlier/later depending on your status.

It's heartbreaking that Bioware are making stuff like this.

I'll take a deeply flawed RPG from them (DAII, ME: Andromeda) over a Destiny clone any time. Destiny sucks so much, it's consumed Bungie and now seemingly Bioware (does good = they support it forever, does bad = EA axes them).

I bet Rockstar are making GTAVI into a Destiny clone too :'(

@locopatho: rockstar won't, lol wtf with your negativity bait, at least makes it plausible. GTA is one of the most profitable media franchise ever, why they want to make a Destiny clone when they can make another GTA.

I do remember that part. That was the only gameplay footage that existed at the time back at E3 2017, what else were they going to use? That's pretty sad & funny at the same time. Way to mislead your audience like that, Sony lol.

I have a feeling the game is lacking serious content.

Not hyped. I think the reason we haven't seen a lot from the game is because there isn't a lot of game. I'm also guessing the game is mainly designed for grinding and milking money out of people.

Interested but worried, we seem to be very close to release with very few details, I'd love this to be a sleeper hit but recent form from Bioware and EA has me doubtful.

I'll give it a try. I do like the premise, but I am not going to board the hype train until I know it has (a friggen goddamn lot!) more content than Destiny and Destiny 2 had. Either this game delivers or I am giving up on the genre altogether until someone has the balls to make a full blown MMO in this format.

All I can say is, Anthem looks to be shaping up nicely from what i've played in the Alpha. It's exactly what I thought it would be and was quite surprised.

Destiny 2 killer? Just might be.
