I look at like the movie "Alien Vs Predator". Bad movie that I love.

Alien vs predator on PS3/XBOX360 is worst.

**** no, at least it had variety for when one section got bad, you could just switch to playing as an Alien or Predator etc. in CM you're stuck playing the same God awful campaign the whole way through

I enjoyed the multi-player demo of that on the PC. Sadly the full game was boring.

Yeah no. 2010 AvP on pc actually was a good game imo especially the marine campaign albeit short

It was almost as bad as the Vita's lineup.

I bought it for PC for $2.00 on Amazon over the holidays. Played the initial release, and it was garbage, but the 3.5 gigabyte patch hash helped a lot, though I don't know if the console versions were patched as extensively. It's still not a good game, but it's not terrible anymore either. Solid 6.0, I think. Co-op was fun.

It wasn't years of straight developing though, The game went through lots of do-overs and had a lot of issues to the point it was almost scrapped. It's surprising the game even launched. Though man (myself included) wish it didn't

Yeah, I remember reading about the whole mess. At one point, Sega claimed Pitchford took the money given to him to develop the game, outsourced it, and then used the money to fund Borderlands 2. What a joke if true.

When it's fundamentally broken at launch, it's not hard to do.

Yeah, it's hard to argue with that. Any sort of fix should increase the game quality.

Just watch any let's play... it's awful from what I saw.

Man, when I played it at launch, the aliens would fucking fall through the floor and lose their textures. The AI was awful, mission objectives were buggy, etc. Mothefucker had problems. Post-patch, it was actually functional and shooting xenos became fun. Who knew?

That's just glorious. I need to try it out for shits and giggles.

The game is total ****. I refuse to buy it even when it's on sale for five bucks.

When I started fighting soldiers in the second level of the game with almost no xenomorphs (in an Aliens game no less), that's when I knew this was a bad game. On top of that the xenos were lousy, the gameplay was boring, and there was a XP system that didn't do anything really and wasn't needed. On top of that the multiplayer was boring to play.

One time, this alien's head came off and spazzed out all around on the map. It also lost it textures, and was just this giant blue blob. Then the body just dropped under the grate I was standing on. It was still alive and following me around, but it couldn't get back into the actual level. It was pretty damn funny.

That's amazing as shit. I want to just congratulate whoever made this game. I probably could have hired a bunch of monkeys, and probably come out better off.

It is the very worst game I've ever played and mind you, I played such panned games last gen as Rise of the Argonauts and Too Human. Anyway, funny story, coz I had Aliens: Colonial Marines pre-ordered and it had this embargo thing till the very release and on the release day when I realized how much all the journalists trashed it, I decided to decline to accept the package from the UPS guy but the store I pre-ordered it from was informed before hand I'm going to return it, even if it was the day of delivery, and they were totally cool with it. Pheww... 60 bucks saved. What a disastrous waste of money that would be.

there's no doubt about it that it's a horrible game, in the few hours between launch and the sun rising Randy Pitchford was already blaming Sega and Timegate and then his Twitter went silent, within 24 hours anonymous Gearbox employees were talking about how Gearbox had embezzled like $60M in Sega funds to make the Borderland games, all that DLC, and Duke Nukem, to make a nice profit for themselves, meanwhile using leftover funding to hire some no-name no-talent developer who will finish a "game" for next to nothing, thereby at least fulfilling their contractual obligation to Sega

I don't think Sega could sue since technically Gearbox did end up giving them something, I think Sega should sue though for all revenues made on the Borderlands and Duke Nukem titles, even if getting that money means liquidating Gearbox's assets

As a fan of Ridley and James movie adaptations of the series, it pained me so much to say how bad ACM was....waited for a good 4 years for that game to come out and it turned to shyt.

I agree. It done a very good job of capturing the essence of the movie with never ending waves of aliens that move extremely fast and can almost insta kill the player and maze like levels.

My friends, just due to the modern of games, being designed for control pads (specifically the xbox360) the aliens will not move fast. The level design will be contrived paths full of scripted sequences and in general, the game will be far too easy. Consoles. Always to blame.

While I havent played the aliens games yet I can say with out a doubt the AvP game was alot of fun.

TC there is an awesome game called motorbike for the PS3.. grab that.. think u will dig it

It have some bugs.....but it doesn't mean that it is awful.I have play the PS3 version with the latest update and imo it is a good Alien game with very good graphics and music.

I didn't think it was "bad" as it was forgettable. I think it was like Duke Nukem Forever, a game released way too late, where by the time it came out people already had low expectations and wanted to hate the game.
