Aion gets a 6.5 on GS.

Well this game finally has it's review from GS.

Kinda sucks I guess, through I am not a fan of MMO.

Wow, really? I strongly (emphasis on strongly) disagree with that score.

i personally didn't enjoy it but i know plenty of old school hardcore mmorpgers (my guild of 8 years) that like it more than WoW. it's not for casuals.Ontain

Honestly you can never go by a review when it comes to MMOs.

I acknowledge that FFXI was a heavily flawed MMORPG and I definitely recommend WoW over it. Yet I wouldn't touch WoW with a 10 ft stick and devoted 3 yrs of my life to FFXI. Sometime it takes only one aspect of an MMO for you to like it.

that's in asia. grinding in an mmo is norm for asia

It's a pretty lousy MMO unfortunately. It has no soul. It's boring. It's ill-conceived. **** it.

I think it's a great game, deserves a much higher score.

Not a good review, can't see why it took so long. Game has only gotten better...

While it is a grind to get to 80, it can be done relatively fast if you know what you're doing. The bulk of the community is there already, and that's where the real game begins. You haven't seen real grinding until you've tried an Asian MMO.

personally I don't play Aion anymore, but if you're looking for a MMO for you you should always look for user-reviews. Somehow they're usually always better than expert reviews when it comes to MMO's.

What he said. I also agree with the score. I bought it and biggest regret this year as far as purchases go.

So much hype. The reality is that there's a huge PS2 texture in the sky and the ground has the worst textures I've seen in any game. Just like many asian mmo you end up killing some cute critter race; on top of that it's boring and derivative.

atleast Aion don't have toolboxes spamming the message/chat box with *middle finger" texts ;as well as, annoying douchebags casting the Mr T Mohawk spell every second...like it's still funny or something :roll:
