Advanced Warfare - Crap title - Tired Franchise - But..

we all expect this game to suck based on the last 5-6 cods.

can we establish that this is a brand new developer for the series and possibly a new movement in the right direction?

the titanfallesque bs is easily overlooked, watched numerous gameplay videos that resembled much of the fun gameplay from cod4. plus its freaking KEVIN SPACEY!!! WHO DOESNT LIKE KEVIN SPACEY????

I forget the video I watched. But, they were relating the new cod to a old school arena shooter with the jet packs and such. I am interested but not a first day purchase. Due to that cod tends to hype up the trailers perfectly with the actual gameplay being boring. So I'll wait for some actual gameplay and impressions.

It'll be amazing because CoD is always amazing.

Well judging by the response from critics and consumers, the term "tired franchise" is a minority opinion. I don't buy or play cod. I borrow it for a once through campaign. I don't play the mp, but people like it. Others don't, and as usual believe their preference is the truth.

If you're basing a purchase decision on a famous actor, that's really sad.

Bother me most about recent COD was poor map design. COD4 had really good map. Black ops map probably next best. The rest are shit. I'm worried of this map design from video I see.

Kevin Spaceys in it. Enough said.

I'm rather excited about this one. The developer has a good track record and I was always a fan of arena shooter games. This game seems to have a nutty fusion of some intense gameplay with some big budget story telling. I think this might be the CoD that really puts its teeth in me again the way BOps did.

I notice when people complain about the map design, its because they suck in those maps. But of course its the maps/games fault

If there's any good news to come from this, it's that Activision hasn't made Treyarch make any Nintendo versions this time around. Hopefully that means they'll have plenty of time to release a competent shooter. Hopefully the return of WW2 is real.

No...........I owned both consoles last gen and played a lot more than FPS. Maybe you need a trip outside?

Still very interesting if it's as fun as Titanfall was because it should be able to draw people back in much better than Titanfall. Biggest problem with that game was there was absolutely nothing to keep you playing, they had a levelling system but it was pretty badly done and the lack of game modes really killed the long term value.

Yeah, Titanfall was such a cool game, I just wish there was more content in it. That won't be a problem with Advanced Warfare.

i've won multiple leagues/tournies in cod4, mw3, black ops 1 and 2; also played at the highest level, so your logic is flawed

This looks like the first legit CoD since MW.

I don't have a problem with call of duty. I never played much of one or bought one out of lack of interest, but I had fun running around doing nothing during zombies mode in the 15 minutes I have played of it.

I haven't play COD since the first Modern Warfare and from that point on, I been missing most of the COD games that were release, [never play Black Ops for that matter] but I'm getting Advance Warfare which looks like a good opportunity to return what have I been missing and not only that, I'm getting COD: Advance Warfare Xbox One console edition which is a awesome bundle. Also if you don't like it, don't buy it. Simple as 1,2,3.

Every year people on gamespot say the same 'Well this is the first one since COD4 that looks good.' 1 day after release: 'shit game. Tired of COD.'

The maps look like BO2 maps. Everything is still the same except the robots and some new equipment.

It looks more of the same to me. Im giving it a chance because:

1. New engine, at least looks like it

2. New dev team

3. 3 years dev cycle

4. It's not set in modern war (i'm sick of it)

5. Last CoD game i got was MW2, 5 years ago

I'm probably going to be disappointed, again. If so, then no more CoD games for the next few years.

I like Ghosts, but hated Black Ops 2. At least Ghosts had a coherent story mode. BLOPS2 has the worst story this side of Perfect Dark Zero. Neither touches the original Black Ops, though.

I won't be getting Advanced Warfare. I like these types of shooters with the wiimote, and since it's not coming to Wii U, I'll be skipping it.

Amazing that all it takes to revive a flagging series is to cast a flavour-of-the-month actor.

I don't like these games but you can't say they SUCK. They play well, have few if no bugs, have single player campaigns and online people enjoy.

You don't have to like it. But the games don't suck. They're playable.

Oh, so the fact that the last CoD's with Treyarch (who's not even deving the last gen versions) suck because there's a Nintendo version. Makes sense. /sarcasm

I'll wait for Treyarch's COD next year, unless This iteration has an awesome Horde mode then I'll get a PS4 to play this
