60 fps is good but it doesn't justify paying a lot for a PC

I mean, you get the performance and the "graphics" but what does it matter if most of your games are Indies with subpar graphics and quality? There's no AAA exclusive on PC, everything can be played on PS4 or on an X1, the PS4 pro or the x1x has more value in a performance/graphics vs money situation.

There's literally no reason to spend money on a PC, you will not really benefit from anything that it offers, 60fps is not worth it, the "ultra settings" are not worth it.

The indie garbage and pay to win games on steam are definitely not worth it.

Really, PC is completely overpriced and redundant at this point, for less than half the price, you have a PS4 pro with all multiplats, exclusives and Indies that are good. For half the price, you have an x1x with all the multiplats and good Indies.

if you don't work on it, there's no reason to buy it, unless you like to spend money to be part of some lame "master race" lol

My framerates 60fps+ are objectively better on my PC, so that's all I care about. I just use consoles for Dem exclusives ;)

Most of the games I enjoy are multi-plat, so I'd prefer to play them at their best.

Tc we know you are trolling ( and not a good attempt at trolling ) but there are entire genres that are almost exclusive on pc ( you know such strategy games and is not like is a niche or small genre considering civilization/ starcraft/ total war series sell in the 3-4+ million every time )

Pc is no longer about 60fps though. 60fps is the new 30fps, its all about 100+ fps nowadays.

Well that's a relief. Here I was thinking you regretted your purchase, but thankfully you remembered that PC:

• has the largest diversity of game genres
• has the largest selection of games
• has the largest selection of input devices (mice, keyboards, joy/flightsticks, HOTAS, VR, controllers...)
• is the best performing platform, be it frames per second or highest visual fidelity.
• mods, community, support, etc
• open development platform that isn't stuck asking corporate shills if it's OK to make a game on their platform.
• incredible independent game movement, in addition to third-party and AAA games
• near-infinite backwards compatibility

Good thing you remembered all those other reasons for playing on PC.

Performance aside. PC can play Xbox games, new third-party games, PC exclusives, indies, old games, emulated games, and do every function a console can't do. I'm sorry, consoles are fun for gamers, but it's not the optimal experience for the person that wants everything.

I get over 60FPS, Some games hit 120 FPS .

To each their own Just play your games if you like PC so be it if you like console so be it . I play both but lean towards my PC , and I can tell a damn difference from 60 FPS - 30 FPS especially on high range monitor.

Well that’s subjective. I just spent $800 upgrading my PC. I got a nice 1440p monitor and had to upgrade the main parts, cpu, mobo, ram. It certainly makes games look great and run smoothly. There are a limited amount of games I want to play on PC, but it makes me feel good about the games I do play. I also game on all the consoles too, but when have a choice to play a game at 1440p, 144hz it’s nice to have that experience.

It’s probably a waste of money yeah, but this is a enthusiast hobby.

60fps is pretty barebones for PC nowadays. Higher resolution monitors can also rock much higher frames... Not even touching IQ.

@lundy86_4: well to be fair, you need a hefty GPU and CPU and ram to drive those frames. I would say 60 fps is a good goal for most people to reach for at high or ultra settings even in 2019.
