Hi. When the pre orders do come in for x1x I will be pre ordering. How ever I've not got a 4k TV as TV at 4k are too big to fit in my room. I can only have at max 32" and in TV they don't do it at that size. Any way how about a 4k monitor at 28" for both PC and X1X. Will monitors look ok from a console even if a game or something not 4k?.

Thanks.

4k will work just the same on a monitor or TV with HDMi. 1080p would look better on a monitor because you're not stretching the image over a bigger screen. But a monitor will have crap sound so would need speakers.

You can find a few 4K 32 Inch monitors.

And yes, a monitor will look just fine. Usually the scalers on a monitor are trash quality, but since you will be using the Xbox One X's built-in scaler to upscale to 4K, it will be fine.

In fact, I'll probably say monitors are better for gaming since you will most likely have much lower input latency than a typical TV.

If anything the image quality of a 4k monitor would be better, given the same screen size. What you lose out on are speakers, TV's are far better than monitors in that department.

@skipper847: They'll work great. Small 4k TVs aren't made in that size because generally speaking it's preferable to have a larger screen at 4k. When it's small you lose a lot of the advantages 4k provides. But the monitor will give you better input lag then virtually all TVs and a faster response time then most. Get a sound bar and attach it to your consoles SPDIF.

Got the ASUS 4k gaming monitor with 1ms, it's fantastic.

I have a good 1080p TV so haven't bothered to upgrade it, but I do PC gaming with 4k now with my new set up and im eagerly waiting for my X1X for my all around 4k gaming needs.

can't wait to play Sports games in 4k too.

def recommended it.

4K is amazing, get a decent monitor or tv, don't skimp on quality either because with the right set up 4k is stunning. It will be perfect for the X1X, 4k in a 28" monitor must be super crisp.

It all comes down to size. If I had a big enough bed room then I would defiantly get a 42" + TV but the size of my room stops me. 28" monitor sounds about right. At the moment I have Dell S2716DG 1440 144 Hz G-Sync monitor and use a crappy asus 1080p monitor which was my old one for PC but for consoles at the moment. Which that does have speakers but are rubbish.

My monitor at the moment is 1440p as said. When i set it to 1080p for the fun in games it doesn't look as good as native 1080p. Will this be same on 4k TV if the X1X not 4k enhanced game?.
