360 games on Xbox one for preview members

@tushar172787: the preview program is free for anyone who gets an invite. I believe it was something started to.reward day one adopters, and they can, in turn, invite their friends.

so is it backwards compatibility? or are they developing the games to the xbox one graphics?

So Sony has Playstation Now and Xbox One has backwards compatibility. Difference is you don't pay for Xbox.

Hopefully Red Dead Redemption is one that can be played. I never have, but always wanted to, now I can just get a disk for cheap.

Sony takes away BC and wants you to pay for PS Now to play your old games while Xbox brings back BC and you could play your old games free! Xbox Won! Xbox gamers won! Also with this feature, there's companies like Ubisoft that's offering deals that if you buy the new Xbox One Rainbow 6 you get the two 360 Rainbow 6 games free with purchase.

The emulation for BC on 360 with OG Xbox games was quite good. I really Barbie Horse Adventures is first on the BC update list.

this is great news, can't wait to start seeing these games available, and I hope they keep with expanding that catalog

Looks like some of these will be coming via Rare Replay in August for $30, saw games like PD Zero, PD, and Conkers on the list. (I assume that last one is the Xbox version and not an uprezzed N64 port)

How do it work? You have to buy the 360 games? It wont use current 360 disks?

@Heil68: Looks to be no different than the emulation used for PS3 to play ps2 games after the original BC was removed. Select titles... Put the disc in to download the game etc...

It uses your 360 disks.

Megaton. They are commited to this so I won't be suprised if all the major titles for the 360 are playable on the One natively by the end of the gen. Sony are morons. Morons I tell you!
