I just thought that was hilarious-

http://kotaku.com/gaming/npd/npd-numbers-the-microsoft-take-312653.php

Xbox 360 held six spots in the Top Ten Console Games, led by initial sales of "Halo 3" Xbox 360
o In its first two weeks, the three editions of "Halo 3" placed #1, 2 and 3 overall for console title sales - for a total of more than $225 million in sales in the U.S. with 3.3 million units. Average unit prices were $69 per game. The $130 "Halo 3: Legendary Edition" alone sold twice as many units as the top title for PS3 "Heavenly Sword" (SCE); the helmet is mightier than the sword.

Halo 3 got a 9.5 on almost all publications where it was reviewed. Heavenly Sword got scores ranging from 6-9. Which do you think will succeed, the game on a larger installed base with publicity at fever pitch levels or a new IP no one has heard about which has gotten poor word of mouth since its release?

Try and think things through. Just try for a day.

HS was marketed and hyped to no end, and im talking about the $130 legendary edition of halo 3 not all the editions.

IMHO your just sad damage control:lol:

Nice try but when there is 3 versions of halo and the most expensive at $120 sells more then Heavenly Sword which by far is one of PS3's biggest titles of the year that is pretty funny.

New franchise vs. the franchise that has kept the Xbox division from completely bombing. Nice comparison...

Did it have 10 million dollars of marketing? It's own mountain Dew? It's own "believe" ads? Was it the third, and final game in a hugely popular series?

Thats no to all of those. Not to mention that it's just a worse game. This isn't indicative of the PS3's "failure" if thats what you were getting at here.

I don't understand, personally why anyone would ever buy the halo 3 legendary edition. you get a ridiculous helmet, some cheap extras, and the same game that comes in the standard pack, with a higher chance of it being scratched. Plus, girls would treat you like a leper if they knew you bought it.

This is, if anything, saddening evidence that so many people will pay an extra $70 for a little plastic helmet with 10 million dollars of advertisement funding behind it. Maybe if we could have bought Heavenly Sword Coke cans things would have been different... yup, the world would have been the worse for it.

thats pretty disgusting. Seeing people pay about 70 dollars extra for a helmet that will probably be broken within 6 months?

LOL @ the damage control from the losers.

Heavenly Sword got owned so badly...it couldn't even outsell a $130 game!
