I think it was KH, but I bought KHs and FFX at the same time(FFX= $11, KH= $17), so it could be FFX I started first. Either way, I enjoyed both games.

My first Square fame was Final Fantasy VIII. From there I played FF VII and started playing all the other PS games by Squaresoft and then I started playing the ports like Final Fantasy Anthology, Chronicles, and Origins. Then I got an emulator and played all the old school Nintendo and Super Nintendo square games. Then I finally got a PS2 and played all of the authentic Squaresoft games. Recently I've been exploring with the more "Enix" style games and I haven't been enjoying it too much

I believe it was FFIX, I only played it for about the first hour or so, then didn't bother to play it anymore. I wasn' too into gaming period back then, after I picked up and finished VII I went back and finished the others. Or maybe it was FFT now that I think about it....I don't quite remember which one was first though...

Ahh great question! :) My first Square game was Final Fantasy IV on the SNES! (Back then, known as Final Fantasy II). Thanks to that game I got way into RPGs and the lovely FF franchise! :D

Me too, except that before I had played any Square game I had already played Dragon Warrior I for the NES. That is the first game to get me into RPGs. My very first RPG though was on the Atari 2600, I believe it was called, "Quest", but it definitely didn't get me interested in RPG's.

My first game was Rad Racer for the NES (and whats funny is-I didnt realize it was a Square game until MUCH later...as in like a decade after I played it *I was 3 at the time* and up until I found out that they made Rad Racer-I only knew them as RPG makers *which is what they should be classified as anyways since they cant make a racer to save their life lol*)

Yes, it is easily one of the best RPG's ever made, and one of Square's best games ever.

I first played Dragon Warrior on the NES and thought ... wow this kinda sucks ... but once Ibought Final Fantasy I was blown away by the story and "awesomly groovystate-of-the-art" graphics. I think I played it about 10 more times until the SNES came out, Then it was all about IV (II) and of course Mystic Quest. Then I went over to Enix's Lufia 2 and RPG's became my gaming career and life.

Umm....Weren't the Lufia games produced by Taito? I suppose that it doesn't matter now that SE have swallowed them up. :)

Yeah Taito was Lufia, but oh well - Lufia was great! Only if there was a proper sequel or remake for it >_>

I've been meaning to play the old SNES versions for years, but I've never quite got round to it. Maybe when I retire I'll have some time to actually play games again (that's at least 30 years off yet, though). ;)

 It's not so much that it came out 12 years ago, it's that PS1 games aren't sold in stores that much anymore and it was one of the best RPGs from the PS1 era, so it is going to cost alot. I can think of plenty other RPGs that are more recent than VII from the PS1 era that cost more

Also because of the spinoffs, people increase the price of the game, since some people will pay it to see wha happened in FFVII.

Mine was FFVIII. Then I skipped FFIX and got FFX and KH. Then when FFX-2, KH2 and FFXII came out I got those and in between all those games I bought FFI and II: Dawn of Souls and FFVI Advance for GBA.
