For anyone who hasnt seen the Last Order OVA that came with the japanese version of Advent Children-here it is for you to check it out. I think its much better than Advent Children. LAST ORDER: FINAL FANTASY VII
I saw it about half a year to year ago (not in the AC combo but online too)it was pretty good, liked the animation and how it gave you more insight into the events of the game.
Yup, he got shot to death. It's even shown in FFVII in a hidden-ish sequence (its absent from the original JP release). I dont remember what point you can see it but its triggered in the Nibelheim Mansion basement

It goes Crisis Core, Last Order, then FFVII. Just think of it like this: Zack alive(CC), Zack joined SOLDIER then died(LO), Zack always dead(FFVII) :P

I think he gets injured in that scene at the end and that leads to the cliff scene where he gets finished off by the Shinra army. Because if you notice throughout the rest ofLO, the regular Shinra soldierscan't touch him :lol: So, the only way they could possibly kill him, like they do in thecliff scene, is if he was injured somehow.But, that is just my speculation, we don't really see what happens, I'm just piecing together the scenes from LO and VII.
I saw it back when Advent Children came out. It kind of made me wonder why an anime of FFVII was never made. Surely it would be popular, especially if they did it to the quality of Last Order.

Yes but still...isnt there usually a point where you dont need to flag everything especially super popular games that have been out for a decade? it would be like flagging the original super mario bros. there are people who have never played it-but everyone knows what happens-he rescues the princess? I do have to agree with Magus, I REALLY don't think we need to spoiler tag FFVII anymore. Maybe leave it up to the poster in question if they want to spoiler tag it or not?
I think it's common knowledge to know that Zack died, but to describe the method and endings to LO or Crisis Core should maybe contain spoiler warnings? Sorry.. I just don't want the endings to games, etc. ruined for people...?

well-i was talking about how he died in FFVII the main game-ive never played Crisis Core nor did the majority but I still think I stand in the correct....not everyone constantly worries about putting spoiler tags on every little thing.
