Toughest sport in the world?

Cycling hand down. Certainly physically toughest. Think to yourselves if you yourself can do it. I know for sure nobody here would be able to compete a cycling event.

If you're saying physically toughest, I say hockey. It could be football, but not every position is as tough as the other.

If you're saying most difficult to succeed at, I say baseball.

people have died in auto racing too, plus people get paralyzed and have more long term injuries in football thany any other sport

rating these based on physical play and skill

1. Hockey (very physical and takes a huge amount of skill...takes years to even master skating)

2. Football (contact every play, certain positions take a lot of skill)

3. Lacrosse (lots of contact, geting slashed etc...cradling and shooting takes time to learn)

Physically tough? Without a doubt it's Rugby

Mentally tough? It has to be Golf

It depends what you mean by toughest-Cycling is probably the toughest in terms of stamina, rugby (at least for the forwards)/boxing/american football in terms of physical power, and tennis/golf mentally.manic111

Definately, not many people can fly at least 60mph on a broom while trying to score a ball. Those seekers have the hardest job too, trying to catch the snitch. Plus, if you fall of your broom, your F-ed! I take my hat off to those guys, they are some tough son of a guns.
