Maybe we will see that series! I have high hopes for the Wings this year. The new blood should really give the team life again. Hell, they almost won that series against the Lightning after being predicted to get blown out last year! Not much improvement is really needed to get them to the cup IMO.

So now we got some games in. Larkin not only made the team, but he got put right in the #1 line AND he has already had an impact!
Really awesome seeing someone from my small town succeed like that. Hoping he ends up being a cornerstone of this franchise. I think he has the potential to do that.
Besides the holes in our defense, I'm enjoying how the Stars have been playing this year. I figure at least round 2 In the playoffs, we are not a cup contending team yet.
Just hoping the Red Wings can keep their playoff streak alive this season. This team has really fallen apart as the season has gone on.
Good thing is, they still have very good young players to look forward to carrying the team in the near future! If they can keep the streak alive this year I think they will be stronger next year. Unfortunately we are having to wait till the off-season to make the kind of changes we need to make to this team to make it a contender.

It's nail-biting level that such an epic streak comes down to ONE GAME! They do have the slight upper-hand here, but it really is like a coin-flip at the end of the day.
I don't see them making a run for the cup, but I really want that streak preserved. I think they are setting up to be dominant in the near future, but they got some adjustments to make first.
Well the Wings made it in thanks to some help from the Senators. Even though they blew the game today, the Senators blasted the Bruins so the Wings hold onto 3rd place in their division.
We shall see if they can do anything in the playoffs. They haven't played too great so I won't get my hopes up.
Nice thing is though, there is a very good chance we end up having 3 of the 4 Detroit sports teams hitting the playoffs this year. The Wings and Pistons are already in and I think the Tigers are a playoff team this year.
@PSP107: It doesn't look good for the Blackhawks. The Blues are a good team. I'm a little bit surprised by how this series went. They have no answer for the Tarasenko line. Yeah, Canada loves hockey.
My Wings out in 5 games. VERY disappointing sine they had gotten the one 1st round match-up that seemed like a sure-win for them.
Team needs to make some changes. While the games were for the most part a lot closer than they appear at first glance, the team has had major issues for the entire second half of the season and they need to be addressed or we will assuredly miss the playoffs next year. BARELY squeaked in this year as is...
