Not a terrible idea to go all John Elway and retire on top, especially considering that a repeat championship is highly unlikely.

I don't think so.

if pujols leaves than yes but if he stays and they get wainright back im not so sure. i think they would go back.

if pujols leaves than yes but if he stays and they get wainright back im not so sure. i think they would go back.

I don't know a lot about baseball, but it seemed to me like they just got hot at the right time. They barely made it into the post season, and made a hell of a run. That's why I don't see a repeat.

get in is the key. brewers are gonna lose fielder and still compete? cards have wainright and carp doing well and pujols can still play. the biggest keys will be how berkman and holliday play

He's the original over-manager. Left-handed specialists? Relievers who come in to face a single batter? La Russa deserves all the credit/blame for those.
