What would your team look like ?

Pick a 12 man roster and Head Coach

This is what I would go with. I would leave some great older experienced players home like Garnett , Duncan , Kidd , Iverson , etc ....... and I would mainly go with lesser experienced players except for Kobe Bryant and Tmac who have been around the league for awhile but they are still young. They can lead the younger players.

General starting 5 (could change depending on matchups)

Head Coach - Greg Popovich

General starting 5 (subject to change depending on matchups and how well they are playing)

1. Deron Williams *
2. Kobe Bryant
3. Lebron James
4. Carlos Boozer *
5. Dwight Howard

Backups

1. Chris Paul
2. Dwayne Wade
3. Tracy McGrady
4. Chris Bosh
5. Amare Stoudamire

Extra 2 players

1. Michael Redd - going to need shooters for international play. If Lebron , Kobe , Wade , and McGrady are throwing up bricks then they will have to sit the bench , lol.
2. Carmelo Anthony - I personally don't like him , but his skills are very very good and I think he could add some versatility to the team.

* I put two Jazz players together on the starting five so the team has some cohesiveness ...... just running out an all-star team wouldn't be wise imo.

You need more shooters on the team...and I would put CP3 in the starting lineup...Deron's tough, but Chris Paul is nasty...I'd also through Camby in there...he got snubbed from the allstar team and he's a very good defensive presence when healthy...tryfe_lyn

I'd ditch both Wade and Anthony. The roster has enough 20 pt scorers. Need more defense.

Wade is a good defender imo. I could see letting Anthony go because he is lazy at times and I don't like him too much anyway ...... but who to choose as a defensive presence ?

Ok, before I select my starting five I want to start off by saying check out my Blog in my profile ASAP and give out comments on what you think ( sort of like a little forum). I want to get people who knows basketball if possible, but anyone who watches the NBA is still fine. Now, my starters will be

1. Lebron

2. Kobe

3. Wade

4. Boozer

5. Dwight

There, you got your defensive presence which wade and boozer can help out a lot and it's much easier to run a fast break with this starting five.

SF - Tracy McGrady
SG - Vince Carter/Monta Ellis/Rashad McCants
PG - Rafer Alston

7. This spot was the hardest to choose from, but Chris Paul

Now it's pretty much balanced on the offensive and defensive side. Also it gives you a solid perimeter game and Steve Nash can help a lot on both sides.

I don't understand Ginobli either, but Nash deserves to be on there. Just because he isn't known to put up 25 every single game, he can still score when he wants to and he would be able to lead the other players.XNCgamer

Check your player's nationality people. So far I've seen Ginobili, Nash, & Nowitzki in this thread. Who's next, Dikembe Mutombo, Yao Ming?
