The once unbeatable Roger Federer is now lost twice this year and it is against the same dude Canas. Canas defeated Federer again in the Sony Ericsson Open on ESPN2 by an epic tiebreak. I didn't watch the whole match but Federer was choking it in the first set, got the mojo back in the 2nd set, then lost it again in the last set. Plus he had 50+ unforced errors for him since Canas' lobs were giving him problems.

With the French Open soon, Federer is starting to lose his magic and he will probably lose at the French.

He has been the most dominating tennis player, this would be like the Tiger Woods not making the cut twice in a row.

I have a feeling that this won't be Federer's year if he doesn't win the French - Wimbledon and The U.S. Open are a given for him for now. As with all dominating players, this could start a Tiger-like slump when Tiger had his a couple of years ago.

There is like WAY! too much pressure on him and expectance to win. Which makes things all the more difficult for him. Though I do like a good tennis match =]

Even Superman has a weakness. Federer is losing but it's always to the same two, Canas and Nadal. Seems like he has kinda figured out Nadal, but Canas is now giving him problems. Seems like a few just have his number.

I don't watch much tennis so my perspective could easily be a bit skewed but as I understand it this guy is one insanely great tennis player. When you're that good for that long you've got only one direction to go, down. I don't know if these losses should be as much a surprise as they are a statistical inevitably.

Losing two matches doesn't mean you're losing your grip. This thread starter is really reaching for ideas.

What's funny is that, me and my friend have a new reference for Jesus and we call him Roger Federer.  It sounds stupid but hilarious since he sort of is by looking at how dominating he is/was.
